kauan's ability to tell a story with their music and set the subconscious of the listener alive is unparalleled. that and their way of being able to dynamically balance the huge, striking moments in their music with the subtle, gentle moments without ever resembling the crescendo-core post-rock bands they're often lumped with is a real enigma. that on top of the absolutely immaculate recording, the stirring, beautiful melodies that only kauan could write and just enough blanks in the story for every listen to be truly unique and let your imagination do the rest. three breathtaking albums in a row, kauan show no sign of stopping being a force to be reckoned with.

By leaving behind the more post-metal elements, Kauan's ability to produce wonderfully emotive music flourishes. I just wish i understood Finnish.

I can see why people get into this album, but, man, the emotion just feels so forced. The
production is also far too glittery and the constantly high-register keyboard gets
grating really quick.
Edit: It's a lot better on repeated listens. The emotions aren't as forced as I once made
them out to be, and it's actually a pretty good album. It's not outstanding or anything,
but much better than what I was giving it credit for at first.

An album for those who need that temporary relief from the chaotic, mundane routine we all tend to find ourselves in as adults. It's atmospheres let your mind wander back to those simpler times when the world didn't quite seem so chartered on a downward spiral. Beautiful, patient and rewarding music.

First of all: This is not a bad album. The atmosphere is calm and carriyng. The Vocals are nicely in sync with the instrumentals, creating an enjoyable soundscape. But that's about it. There's just nothing surprising, unexpected. Everything just seems to do what it is supposed to. This your perfect background music while you need to finishing something that really needs a high amount of concentration. If you like that. For me personally, this album has just been way to generic in it's melodies and riffs.

It's sad that I couldn't enjoy this as much as I did Sorni Nai. The first few songs felt way too slow and drawn out to me, but the second half was quite a bit better. Favorite tracks are "Lahja" and "Nainen"
