They are really nostalgic for me because of The Adventures of Pete & Pete. I really liked the music in the show so I
bought the CD. I was so surprised at how good it was. Even though it was a bit cheaply made, the songs on this are
gold.
Unlike most TV/Movie soundtracks, this album is made up of nothing but Polaris songs. This was their only album,
by the way. Anyway, like I said, all of the songs are great, which is sort of weird. "Hey Sandy" is the opening track
and is also the theme song for the show. It has a weird prelude to it about Space or something and after that is
almost explosion of energy, if that makes sense. That's pretty much the whole CD.
The Flaws with this are that most of the songs sound alike and the production value isn't that much.
If you grew up in the 90's and you have a heart, you will love this album. It is pure nostalgic, sentimental bliss. Pete & Pete were an enormous part of my childhood, and the songs on this record swirl up emotions that only fond memories of childhood can conjur. Solid, heartfelt, and often sublime, this is a diamond in the rough of an album.
this shit is pure nostalgia for me, The Adventures of Pete & Pete is still my favorite show from my childhood, this cd is pretty amazing, good music if not a bit stagnant for now a days
