Love the 80's/VHS vibe throughout. Lyrics are plain and boring, but Phoenix is more about their sound anyways

Phoenix go latte, but they forgot that their sound is already too sweet to let it succumb to sugary ad-ons. You can drink a latte quickly and easily tho.

As much as I want to like this album, the lack of variety in sound really kills my enthusiasm for repeated listens. Telefono, Fior Di Latte, J-Boy, and Tutti Frutti are all great tracks however. Sadly, there's too many dead ends for this album as a whole to avoid feeling at least a bit like well.. melted gelato.

3'd this for the middle section, tracks 4-6 all sound v good, especially Fior de Latte, a BOP. That being said, the first couple sound like watered down Kishi Bashi and tail end of the album is just annoying. Or maybe the overall sound was just wearing me down by the end. idk
