| 4.0 excellent | runaways | April 7th 17 | It is definitely his poppiest effort to date, but I honestly don't think the bars or beats suffer much from it.

| 3.0 good | Panzerchrist | April 6th 17 | This will definitely get him a wider audience, but for the people who've stuck by him since he began way back with 1999, it feels surprisingly light on substance. The jazzy, funky instrumentals that run throughout are solid, and the tracks flow fairly cohesively, but you can't shake the sense that this is his weakest full-length to date.

| 0.0 | Leedleleedle | April 8th 17 | Feels like he's repeating the same messages for 40 minutes. That is, until he goes full tin foil
hat conspiracy theorist on the last track. Production is fun tho

| 2.0 poor | StarlessCore | April 7th 17 | where da punchlines at. where da non generic bars at. he said he was sitting on like 80 unreleased songs a while ago. ill wait for the tape methinks

| 4.0 excellent | TheManMachine | June 6th 17 | I mean I'm not sure he's got the bellicosity or sapience to braid the USA and KKK either. But his racism-charged ruminations sound potent, liberated, smooth, real; even convincingly conspirative. Listening as yet another versed verse gets more frenzied-n-incensed over time before perhaps culminating into a can't-take-it-no-more 'AHH' or just fuckin' disgust, the hopeful posi-warmth of "For My People" and pop/sad/jazz veers switching out for the timely guest-enhanced twin onslaughts "Rockabye Baby"/"Ring the Alarm" and a lengthy mic-glitch manifesto as closer. And never underestimate the power of sampling a teary-eyed kid making poignant crowd-encouraged speeches. Heavy-handed sooner or later, but then there's those beats and duh those bars. "Music is a form of expression / I'ma use mine just to teach you a lesson / Rule one: this microphone's a weapon." Damn right.

| 3.0 good | cavalrycaptain | April 18th 17 | This was really great until he started talking about chemtrails and government conspiracies lol. Still solid production though, the first half of the record is substantially better than the second half.

| 4.0 excellent | dihstyle69 | April 11th 17 | joey continues to embrace the old school boom bap style but now, he also brought a more contemporary, melodic sound to the table and surprisingly, things work really well. the content is there (more politically charged), catchy hooks, all the guests fit like a glove, the prod does its job for the most part. i can't say this is a step forward in relation to his previous effort since the first half is a bit too repetitive sonically speaking and the album definitely lacks tracks as amazing as, let's say, paper trails or christ conscious but still, great effort. 4-

| 4.0 excellent | NewBallistics | April 11th 17 | I don't see why some are giving this average scores. This is no average effort. There's
a debate for the poppy route Joey has taken in his sophomore effort, this I can agree
with. But it's clear that Joey has set his sights on building his own legacy as a
premier rap artist with this LP. The album was an incrediblely fun listen and has a lot
of depth when it's comes to Joey's views since his last album. My favorite tracks
"Temptation" and "Rockabye Baby" feature some of his finest instrumental work since his
first mixtape years. For something that I was going to pass on because I didn't have
much confidence in it, I'm glad I took it on. 4.1/5

| 3.0 good | joshuahuntkc | April 8th 17 | I bought this just to see what he was doing nowadays. The first half of the album is a snooze fest but I thoroughly enjoyed the second half. The later tracks are high energy and the features add more life to the tracks. I wish the whole album was as energetic and uncompromising.

| 2.5 average | thealbumman | April 8th 17 | There's a few songs on here that are good but the entire first half of the album feels like he's trying to get radio play. Pretty let down

| 3.5 great | iVentereas | April 8th 17 | Obviously his worst project, yet it still is worth listening to. He presents some really interesting ideas, though not nearly as elaborate as to pimp a butterfly. I think what its the Jazzy beats and his flow which truly shines in this album, with almost every song I just wanted to dance or at least groove along. Overall a 3.6/5

| 3.5 great | botb | April 7th 17 | That last track is a fucking punch to the gut, so tight
Bump |
| 3.5 great | kinderfall1 | April 5th 17 | The followup to his heavily NY-inspired debut takes Joey's sound in a smoother, jazzier, more political direction. On first
listen, many of the beats are glossier, less varied, and less engaging than the beats on B4DA$$. AAB also suffers from
being yet another record living in the shadow of TPAB's bold, thoughtful commentary on race and politics in America.
Despite falling short of being the game-changer that Joey claimed it would be, All-Amerikkkan Badass has a few excellent
cuts (Rockabye, Legendary) that make it worth the listen.
But come on Joey, why do half the beats sound like You Ain't Gotta Lie?
