In this album Norma Jean answers two questions: What would it sound like if a Christian band covered Botch and how many breakdowns can possibly fit into a 2 minute song? Some of the moments are spectacular, but most just beat the listener into boredom.
the second album from norma jean is by far a classic its way fucking different than anyof the other bands out there i dont really know what subgenre to put them under i just know that this album with make you scream and dance.
First of all, Norma Jean did NOT cover or copy Botch on this album. Now Botch did influence this album greatly, along with a little Pantera influence also. Overall, Botch's "We are the Romans" album is a lot heavier and rawer than this album. Norma Jean added more melodic parts on this album and more breakdowns. Honestly, this is still a very good album, the songs don't have a lot of variety, which makes them a little repetitious, but there is still a lot of good material here.
