With Hunted, Khemmis climbs further ahead of the pack of modern doom practitionners. Their ability
to compose such dynamic and engaging songs while seamlessly incorporating elements of plodding
funeral doom ("Candlelight"), energetic sludge a-la High on Fire ("Three Gates") or even shoegaze
("Hunted") is impressive. While the infectious harmonized lead guitar work and the soaring vocals
are the focal point, Khemmis never forget that the riff is king. Long live the King !

Heavy, that's for sure. Khemmis' sophomore record is basically what their debut was, but enhanced: better production - now that's thicc and more engaging compositions, vocal deliveries, riffs, and solis.
