About the actual album: "Golden Eagle", "Goodbye, Oh Goodbye", "White Worms", "Small Red Boy" are
the good songs, with "White Worms" and "Small Red Boy" being the best. Every other song grated on
my nerves somehow, from being obnoxiously lo-fi, annoying vocals, or just being shitty.

This is pretty bad. This band went down a steep fuckin hill, this album makes Christmas Island look good. Oh well. I still love the trilogy of People/Can't Maintain/Knife Man. I just wish they'd make something... Better.

I came very close to loving this album. The fast-paced and radio-friendly style of songs like Golden Eagle and Terrifyer is something I adore. However, there are more than a couple tracks on here I really don't like. Those songs would be American Garbage and My Brain Is A Human Body. It seems like AJJ was trying to add a concept of childlike anger and rebellion throughout the album, but it's only clear on a few tracks. Despite that loose concept, this record is still enjoyable for the most part.

No where near as bad as people have suggested. It ain't folk no more, but its great lo-fi-ish indie rock. Digging it brah. 3.2/5

OK, first, the elephant in the room: the name change shouldn't be a big deal. If they're not
comfortable with what it could represent, then who are we to piss and moan about it?
That said, it doesn't help their case that the first record to bear the new name is the most
bizarrely neutered album AJJ have come up with. The songs just aren't as memorable this time
around, and Sean Bonnette's once hilariously pointed lyricism has, for the most part, become
rather anonymous. No More Shame and Small Red Boy are definite exceptions, but they're also very
frustrating, as they show what the album could have been.
Basically, this album is what everyone said Christmas Island was. But while Christmas Island was a
bold move in a new territory, The Bible 2 goes a bit too far, and strips away a lot of what we
loved about AJJ in the first place.

The synth lead in American Garbage is garbage. I hope the band calls it a day after this and they don't tarnish Knife Man too much.
