It's only been a little more than a year and a half, and the wonderful ladies of G.L.O.S.S. have already blessed us with six more minutes of the most pissed-off, violence-endorsing hardcore punk you're going to hear all year. It's a meatier, more well-produced and polished version of their debut demo, but that doesn't mean they skimp on the rawness at all. They still have an attitude that rings out as one of the most undeniable in the current punk scene, and listeners can still hear every ounce of frustrated passion they put into it. Simply put, just please give us a full-length soon!

Trans Day of Revenge is basically the same as the band's debut demo. Except: it pounds harder, the riffs are catchier, and the production is cleaner. Everything goes harder. G.L.O.S.S. (Girls Living Outside Society's Shit) were mad fast, and maybe they burned themselves going that fucking fast, but their viscerality made them an essential part of LGBT badasses.

Can't claim this ain't unlike a thousand-and-one other hasty hardcore EPs before it, or that the majority of those k+unos will ever see a smidgen of the spotlight these Girls Living Outside Society's Shit have seized from gender-bend topicality and being the prey of some tactless Whirr-hurled scurrilities -- but their ire is formidably tangible and even sanguinary; the downtrodden+rancor-ridden call-to-arms urgent, madcap, and presently pertinent enough to seem pretty much obligatory. And the tunes, right -- five songs, seven minutes, a few shout-along opportunities, succinct shredding -- hasty hardcore linchpins indeed.
