Absolutely excellent production on this album, every minute is pure class. Fans of progressive groups like Porcupine Tree, Genesis, Dream Theater? Get this. This was actually on Mike Portnoy's top 10 albums of 2006.
One of my favourite tracks, Milliontown, was an epic. How they played it live I don't know!!
And I've just realised now that one of the guys who I went with wrote the review below me. Hi Mark!
My personal album of 2006, a masterpeice from start to finish! Andy Edwards drumming really makes this album along with the masterfull keyboard work.
Hyperventilate is an instrumental on par with any prog track out there, along paired with the other me's funky rifts and baseline. Snowman's angelic vocals and ambience make a fantasic break into the second half of the album. The albums two big tracks black light machine and milliontown are superb conbining some of the best keyboard and guitar work ive ever heard into a climactic all out ending of the final track. Put simply an instant classic, cant wait for the release of Experiments in Mass Appeal!
for any fan of Porcupine Tree, but with a more industrial influence...this band is for you. they create some awesome keyboard driven atmosphere with some added synth effects. the vocals dont necessarily sound like Wilson's but the style can be the same. the guitars are somewhat heavy at times, but are not used as much as the keyboard. all around this is a solid album and the only album from this band that are made up of some members of the "neo-progers" Arena. they also stole the english phone booth from PT's the Sky Moves Sideways
