4.0 excellent | Dmax28 | February 27th 16 | It's a cool melodic death metal album and a lot of fun to listen to. "Foundation", r"Majesty rand Silence" and "Frontiers" are welcomed as some more fantastic tracks from this band. The repic feel and cohesive story of the last two albums is completely gone though. This feels rmore like just a collection of tracks, which isn't really a big criticism, but does make it rfail to reach the grandiose of "Beyond" and "New World Shadows". While most of the band's rother material was structured but still had plenty of surprises as the music went on, here rthe song structures are so basic that you can predict what is coming most every time. The rtracks are very nicely polished and practical in their writing, giving you just enough for a rnice memorable jam. "Majesty and Silence" is the only track that strays from the rpredictable approach. It's just a little flatter in general. All that said, this is still a rreally fun listen and highly raccessible. The motivational lyrics and great melodic feels of Omnium rGatherum still come rthrough. The band also maintains its great catchy quality on Grey Heavens. As a MASSIVE fan rof the band I know they can do better seeing as their last three albums are melodeath rmasterpieces in my opinion. In the end, there is a lot of fun to be had on Grey Heavens rdespite somewhat less depth than we may have come to expect from Omnium Gatherum.

3.2 good | Trey STAFF | March 1st 16 | It's safe, unconfrontational ultra-melodic death metal by the numbers. That doesn't mean it's not good.

2.5 average | Brandon Scott EMERITUS | February 15th 16 | As far as melodic death metal in 2016, this isn't bad. You've heard this album before by a few different bands, but these guys do it with admirable enthusiasm and a surprise every now and then. The clean vocals seem thrown in a bit haphazardly, and only seem to work on the album's best track "Majesty and Silence", but they aren't too detrimental to the album's overall quality. Recommended for people who started listening to melodic death metal yesterday and Insomnium fans.

3.5 great | Xenorazr | February 22nd 16 | There's a mix of ominous regression in Omnium Gatherum's latest album, a combination that fails to spark interest the way Beyond did, but nevertheless succeeds in delivering music that's catchy in its own bleak way.

2.0 poor | siIverspawn | February 24th 16 | I would not call this auto pilot. The sound is quite different from Beyond, there's been some evolution. I just don't think the sound is as good. It's too aggressive - kinda lost its charm.

4.0 excellent | InsomniumGatherum9 | February 14th 16 | Really solid. Great melodies and compositions. Exactly what I've come to expect from this band! Only weak tracks for me were Skyline and Frontiers. Agree that the tracks get stronger in the second half.
