0.0 | Slex | March 12th 16 | The best rap album of the year so far, and that's coming from a HUGE Kanye and Kendrick fanboy. This shit is just incredible.

4.0 excellent | chunto | March 11th 16 | Deceptively dark and incredibly well executed, 3001 is a substantial step up from BetterOffDead rwith consistently excellent production, as well as some of the best bars produced by each rmember of FBZ. The talk of drugs (weed in particular) can grow somewhat tiring, but is ultimately rinconsequential when compared to all of the highly enjoyable aspects of the project and is rthematically relevant to the topic of drug dependance which is explored here. The album ralso benefits from having fewer tracks, which held back BOD in some respects.

5.0 classic | hiphopthuggin | March 15th 16 | I really don't get why some are sayin that this shit is a step backwards in relation to betteroffdead when thay album had like three or four fillers, while hhis one is hella focused. the prod, the deliveries, the lyrics, the narrative.. everythin was done with precision imo the best tape so far this year and oe kf the best tapes off beast coast movement

3.1 good | Erwann S. STAFF | May 12th 22 | Flatbush Zombies continue the formula they've shown on their two mixtapes - without developing it further. It's hazy yet banging, the rappers are aight without ever being truly great, and the mixing is kinda ass but eh it kinda adds some charm to the whole lot. Bring the first two mixtapes to Spotify pls, this is by far their most popular release yet it doesn't truly showcase the group's qualities.

3.5 great | dihstyle69 | February 15th 17 | here, each of them bring their absolute best to the table and everything comes together in an almost perfect way, even though they're completely different from each other. erick once again proves that he's one of the most talented producers working right now. dope af project from start to finish! 3.5+

3001 A Laced Odyssey is the debut album from east coast hip hop trio, Flatbush Zombies. This is my first time listening to a full FBZ project and I'm very impressed. This album has endless replay value and is timeless. FBZ has truly mastered the trip-hop sound. Juice and Meechy sour their very unique and creative style over Erick's top notch production. Their melodies are smooth and they whip out a wide variety of headbob worthy flows. I also love the trippy and druggy vibes. Their lyrics are full of substance and they dropped a bunch of jaw dropping lines. It's just that their subject matters can be iffy and their rhymes are predictable at times. The one thing that's holding this album down is the vocals. Meechy's voice can get pretty irritating at times (no offense to Meechy), some of the accents they do are unnecessary at times, and some of the mixing could use some work. But the tracklist is flawless and there wasn't one bad song on this album. Each song on this album is amazing and shines in its own unique way. 3001 A Laced Odyssey is an amazing album and I highly suggest it.
