letlive. expertly combine every good quality of their past two releases, wrap it in a tidy package, and shoot it directly into the sun. Then they release this horseshit instead. The underwhelming singles are the best tracks here by a large margin.

This is a really really good album, Letlive have challenged themselves and if you listen to it in isolation to their other albums
or anything else in this genre in 2016, then its one of the better albums going around... So much anger in the lyrics, in
some ways this is a heavier release than Blackest or History.

Criminally underrated. It's a real grower, sure it's not Fake History, but it also doesn't try to be. From "Meh" to "meh favorite letlive album", took some time though.

That feel when slumber itself is more entertaining than pretty much the majority of what comprises If I'm the Devil.... Post-hardcore troupe Letlive's fourth studio album and newest addition to the group's discography is aimless and sounds rather stolid, proving that Fake History and even The Blackest Beautiful to an extent were flukes. It's forgettable, uninspired, and the shift in overall musical style just wasn't executed with enough finesse. Change is acceptable only with proper care and presentation, and Letlive don't appear to care all that much here. They're one or two steps closer to becoming the next Rise Against, I can see it now.

Given the quality of Fake History and the relative quality of TBB (minus the production), it's
stunning how not good this is. The singles, while not that great, are mostly better than anything
else on the album. What makes it so disappointing is that you know this band is capable of more.
Maybe it'll grow on me, but this album is missing a lot for me.

a complete change in direction doesn't necessarily suggest that this album is a completely poor offering. There are some standout tracks which are hindered by annoyingly crafted and mediocre filler tracks.

I mean I was already tired but most of the middle put me to sleep. I'll give them credit for trying to change it up but a lot of this is underwhelming. I'll give it some more time, since the title track was pretty good and I enjoyed Nu Romantics minus the chorus. A Weak Ago and Good Mourning America were alright. Opener and Closer had some potential but missed the mark. Rest was meh.
