Well, I liked it more than WZRD & Indicud, at least. Not his best, and I didn't like as much as his first two albums, ror even Satellite Flight, but for what it's worth, it's not bad. I know he can do better, though. rI'm being generous here 'cause it's an experiment, kinda like WZRD was. I get why some people here aren't the rbiggest fans of him, it's cool. For what it's worth, I've heard worse this year. rEdit: Every listen to this thing, it's been getting worse, actually. It's not really all that good.

If you come into this looking for a hiphop album you will hate it. This album is going to be looked down on because its not what Cudi usually makes. But his last 3 albums were not very good anyway. I think this is a nice change for just this one album. And if you like this style of music you should give it a listen.

How to make a song on this album: Pick a riff. Repeat said riff for 3-6 minutes. Repeat the most basic drum beat you can think of. Sing about depression. 10/10.

Earnest and messy, SB2H suffers from being the result of an already fragile man letting his fragility take full control. The punky vibe isn't that bad at the beginning but it's so surface level it fails to convey the desired sympathy. Worse, it's full of fillers that repeat themselves with few to no variations. Oh and the Beavis and Butthead skits. So many bad choices all around - except for the title track, which is neither boring nor grating, yay! Damn shame that something this genuine ended up being so bad, I prefer to shit on pos like Lil Xan. 1.1

Give credit where it's due: Kid Cudi was in one of the darkest places the human mind can go while making this album. He had to make this album to unleash his innermost demons. Sadly, those demons made him create an ear-destroying mess. lets you wonder what people can do when they're at the bottom of the abyss.

This album is so fucking fascinating. There's so many good ideas and interesting thematic concepts but the execution is so laughably bad. I would give this a 1.5 but Cudi gets a 2x bonus multiplier because damn near every song on this album made me cry laughing. This transcends what music is or should be.

I thought that people were just jumping on the bandwagon and mindlessly bashing this album. I liked most of Kid Cudi's stuff (I skipped the last 2 albums because I stopped caring) & assumed that most of these reviews were exaggerated. 2 tracks in I said to a friend "This isn't so bad" & then she told me there were TWENTY FOUR more songs to go. That was enough to make me put off listening to the rest for a little bit.rI've heard a lot of people talk about how rudimentary the riffs and overall instrumental parts are and that's why they hate this album. I don't know about that. I've been to plenty of punk shows where I was convinced that the "band" had just learned to play their instruments 3 hours before their set time and even they put more soul into their performance than whatever Cudi did here. This is bad because it's lazy and uninspired.

As a one-time Kid Cudi fan, Words cannot describe how much this album pisses me off. HOW HIGH/INSANE MUST ONE BE TO THINK THIS SHIT SOUNDS GOOD!? The length, the ridiculous vocals, lyrics that are painfully bland when they're not downright laughable, the bizarre and unfunny Beavis and Butthead sketches, the 5-second generic grunge riffs that are repeated ad-nauseum through the whole thing. This is one of those rare albums that manages to fail on nearly EVERY level. I suppose the production is okay, and Confused and Judgemental Cunt are almost decent, but that still doesn't save it from being the worst record I've heard this year, possibly ever. rAt least it gives me some faith in MotM III, as it can't possibly be any worse than this.

literally just listened to Nirvana for the first time and decided to record a Nirvana record. Cudi records usually are devoid of talent and taste, but at least usually people around him fix it so that he sounds even kind of ok. This record shows Cudi's brain is completely empty.

3/10. "Speedin'" is a very frustrating record. It's much too long, none of the tracks really
feel fully fleshed out, and the Beavis and Butthead "skits" ruin the melancholic "grungy"
atmosphere the rest of the songs try to build.
Through all of that, though, there's occasionally a bright spot in the shape of a surprisingly
good vocal melody or song style that seems particularly interesting--but as quickly as those
bright spots appear they're just as quickly buried under silly cartoon character dialogue or any
number of other stupid quirks that were apparently shoved into the album haphazardly.
It's frustrating because it could've been a successful experiment had it been allowed mature. But
it wasn't, so it isn't. It's a bad record.

Scott "Kid Cudi" Mescudi took a speedin' bullet 2 his mental capacity here, there's no mistaking that. What's really shocking about this whole album is that not even Mike Judge as Beavis, Butt-head, and Mr. Van Driessen can save the record. Kid Cudi's attempt at a rock album not only suffers greatly from weak instrumentation and appalling vocals, it's marred by copious amounts of filler. I hope the man on the moon decides to avoid this one.
