| 3.5 great | Jared Floryan | January 15th 16 | Remember when Panic! At the Disco never actually forgot to close the goddamn door back in 2005 with their full-length debut? Do you recall waking up at nine in the afternoon years later? Putting all that aside, Brendon Urie has finally released Death of a Bachelor, the successor to Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die. Seeing how the previous album was the project's first foray into full-fledged pop music, it's only natural that the next release functions as a progression of the sounds explored there. To give Urie the benefit of the doubt, he's able to create a mostly fun record which unfortunately loses momentum during the latter half; then again, entertainment like this can only last for so long. It's nice to hear Urie's vocals again, for he knows how to lure you in with his unforgettable hooks and sense of poise and rationality. Why post-hiatus Fall Out Boy isn't this enjoyable still remains a mystery, I guess. Angel recommends: "Don't Threaten Me With a Good Time," "Hallelujah," "Emperor's New Clothes," "Crazy=Genius," and "Golden Days".

| 3.0 good | Mutantsnowstorm | January 15th 16 | Brendan Urie was born to make pop music. He's got one of the best voices in music right now and while he's not the best lyricist in the game, he manages to craft some incredibly catchy tracks that carry a fair amount of variety. Some may complain that this is not truly Panic! at the Disco, and while that may be true, it certainly isn't a bad thing.

| 1.5 very poor | SmileNerd | November 12th 16 | the final nail in the coffin for a once promising band. everything once interesting and enjoyable about this band is completely gone. every album they've released has dug itself deeper and deeper into a hole of un-redeemability, until this steaming pile of garbage. I don't really see where they can go from here, except remaking this album. A few potentially interesting ideas are present here, but they're so minute compared to the other 99% of the album that they barely exist.

| 2.5 average | MeetMeAtBarItalia | July 5th 16 | This is not the great pop album that Urie seems convinced it is. The first three songs are just uninspired attempts at celebratory anthems, and the other more upbeat songs are kind of dull as well, mixing too much energy with no substance whatsoever. There are just none of the heartfelt emotions Urie is capable of on most of this album, the production is so overblown it's ridiculous, and Urie's vocals are really too over-the-top for their own good. However, a couple on songs on here are fantastic. I'm not a fan of the modern Sinatra thing that is going on in "Death of a Bachelor" and "Impossible Year", it feels really forced, but I found "L.A. Devotee" and especially "Golden Days" to be quite powerful songs, with potent emotions. Hope it's not the direction he will take future releases, this guy has potential to be a great pop artist if he stops with all the unnecessary arrogance...

| 3.5 great | Miglaja | May 27th 16 | Sounds that band are having fun with this album !rI'm not a huge fan of Panic! At The Disco but I'm glad that they managed to turn from emo band to something popular to the masses all around the world.rOf course they don't sound very "rock" like they used to be, but combination of a little bit of rock and nowdays pop is not a bad thing

| 3.0 good | iGuter | February 1st 16 | P!aTD's new album may just as likely be called the Brendon Urie Experience. But then again, the multi-talented musician/singer is certainly an artist that can't be simply swept under the rug thanks to his charisma and charm. That being said, the album is a mess of tracks that do not match with one another but individual tracks will bring joy to most and some tracks will just leave others a bit left out.

| 2.5 average | LommyGreenhands | January 26th 16 | Brendon Urie can write interesting pop songs and has proved this with all of the albums he has participated in writing up to this point. Unfortunately he only displays this talent on a few occasions on this album. Death of a Bachelor, Golden Days and Victorious are solid, memorable tunes. Other than that there isn't much worth noting. At least half of this album shows a level of mediocrity unseen by Panic! At the Disco, until now.

| 2.5 average | BHAR | January 22nd 16 | Panic! At The Disco's (or should I say Brendon Urie's) fourth studio album is a really confusing effort. I've almost always found them really annoying, tedious or just dull. I liked Victorious, Death Of A Bachelor and Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time, but aside from that, the album has not much to offer or impress. I will say that it is the "best" album of Panic's discography.

| 2.5 average | BRAman22 | January 19th 16 | Some hit and miss pop punk, just as is to be expected from Panic!

| 4.0 excellent | 3waycrash | January 15th 16 | Brendon Urie manages to hold his own with Panic! at the Disco by putting together an energetic effort with the band's (or his) newest offering. Urie's voice sounds great as ever as he displays his range throughout the album with panache. Musically it does call back to the band's older work mixing pop/rock, symphonic horns and strings, and electronic elements. The music does tie in with the theme of the album which combines the "lavish" LA lifestyle with the theatrics of stage plays. The theme carries through the album fairly well, though it does wear thin at moments being a bit excessive leading to some lackluster lyrics. Death of a Bachelor feels more like Brendon Urie's solo project (which it is at this point) though that's not necessarily a bad thing. Urie shows that he's capable of carrying a solo career with a penchant for writing a musically catchy, fun, and energetic time.
