i realized that the letters on the cover are aerial shots of the waterslides on the early covers when i was high and i'm still processing that, let alone the quality of the tunes AOTD BY POPULAR ACCORD

Alot of music that tries to be unique comes off as forced, this on the other hand sounds completely natural and like her true voice.

Beneath the famously plastic sheen of SOPHIE's music, there's a real human heart. What can easily be dismissed as shallow, dance-club lyrics are full of life-affirming joy to match the playfulness of her sound. These tracks are so ahead of their time, and the sonic invention - as incredible as it is - is never at the expense of song structure or listenability. The closing track, Just Like We Never Said Goodbye, makes me tear up even more now, knowing that we lost this visionary talent too soon. r'Do I make you proud? I try so hard.' Yes, you do, SOPHIE. Yes, you do. For music-lovers, for aspiring artists, for queer communities everywhere - you make us so, so, proud.

The moment when PC Music's inherent irony transformed into authenticity. SOPHIE's take on 90s-bubblegum-meets-10s-dance is a genuine work of playfully futuristic club music, with as many catchy melodies as there are crumbling synths and basses - even it can be a tad too much a times. Most importantly, this concludes on its pinnacle, "Just Like We Never Said Goodbye", a sincere lullaby that'll melt yo lil heart.

Fine repackaging of a few great singles with some weaker B-side material. "Just Like We Never Said Goodbye" might be the best song from this project yet, I think it'll hold up better than almost anything PC Music has ever done in a few years
