3.5 great | jneese | October 31st 15 | The majority of the songs on this LP have that classic west coast feel. The Game seems hungry and re-inspired as these
are some of his best songs in years. Songs like "Standing on Ferraris" and "Hashtag" hindered the flow of the album for me
(especially "Hashtag") and because of that my rating sticks to a solid 3.5.

This is Game's comeback album. Ten years after the release of “The Documentary” The Game releases a sequel to the classic album. Not many artists can do what The Game did with this album. He kept up with modern trends but didn't lose himself and stayed real to himself. The lyrics were actually really good but they could've been better. He describes his life on the street and spits rhymes about the break up with his ex-fiancée. The similes and wordplay are clever and witty. The constant use of the N word gets old. I have nothing against blacks saying that word, it's just that Game can't go 10 seconds without saying it. The guest line up was some of the best in a while. Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, Diddy, Ab-Soul, and Snoop Dogg. Some of the guest appearances were unseeded and/or could've done better. For example Drake and Future could do way better. Game's flow was incredible. It was pretty versatile and on beat. The production was the best aspect of The Documentary 2. Each beat sounds different and is full of unique samples. With soulful beats, trap like beats, west coast instrumentals, and some piano driven beats. Game's delivery was fantastic. The subject matter was some what relevant and this album was pretty original. Also most of the songs sounded the same. The Documentary is an amazing album. One of Game's best in a while with fantastic production, clever wordplay, descriptive rhymes, versatile flows, dope production, and distinctive delivery. With some minor improvements this album has the potential to be a modern classic.

4.0 excellent | mikhau20 | October 22nd 15 | It seems he was inspired by the Notorious B.I.G.; even their voices are very similar on some of the tracks. Nothing wrong about that, in my opinion =)
