Serpent Noir bears much of the same magic that Cultes Des Ghoules offers in its old school first wave black metal bass heavy sound mixed with haunting ritual ambience. Erotomysticism is a little easier on the ears than Cultes, and straddles death and doom metal a bit more, but is no less captivating and every second of this does their forebears proud.
