Behexen are a black metal band with barbaric dense atmospheres that hypnotize. Their music is likened to Satanic Warmaster and Beherit. By the blessing of Satan is their greatest effort to date. Their musical style and approach is aggressive, soft, filthy, and beautiful all in one balanced meal. Their black metal style is very original and fresh while staying true to proper bestial worship. Drummer Henidazeop creates a wall of sound with his fuzzy snares and Yhnoapos fuzzy guitars. The vocals are high pitched and are mixed in with a high level of reverb and slight delay. The music tends to push forward and although raw in nature has a driving force much like early old school thrash technique; without falling into the genre itself. Tracks are lengthy, yet moderate and play out just long enough to impress, but not tire out. There's a lot of good underground Black MEtal artist out there and Behexen is well worth the listen. Don't waste your time with mainstream black metal, get this now.
