4.5 superb | Johnny Maccaroni | April 28th 15 | This is a mouthful of fresh air in the sad landscape that SPUTNIKMUSIC has become, where everyone ridolizes crappy records put out by the likes of swans, trophy scars and the war on drugs.... This ris real virtuoso shit, people that actually know about music, not some talent-less fucks... Allow ryourself a break from the mediocre plaster that the so-called "connoisseurs" from SPUTNIK have rforced fed you as "classics".

5.0 classic | Leprous | April 25th 15 | I guarantee that many years down the road this album will be regarded as a modern classic. This album does a superb job of evoking theatric images while blending many different sounds together to create their own.

1.0 awful | GhandhiLion | June 22nd 18 | More insufferable prog metal let loose from the realm of Berklee College.
Inspired by their predecessors Dream Theat(re) and Between the Buried and Me. Native
Construct managed to make an average modern prog metal album. Average, meaning it's
soulless crap.

3.5 great | cjbizzlebizzle | December 14th 15 | Native Construct are clearly great musicians with an endless level of talent and seemingly endless depth of instrumentation. Quiet World is a platform where they truly display this with obvious influences from groups like BTBAM, Dream Theater and Queen. Jazz, progressive metal, funk, classical, opera etc... you name it and its probably in here somewhere. The strength in the album lies in their ability to layer these genres atop one another with every segment transitioning smoothly into the next, it is like controlled chaos. Another high point is the harmonies created and strong melodies throughout allowing the complex writing and instrumental parts to come through naturally. That being said talent isn't everything and beyond it lies some obvious pitfalls. The concept itself is weak. The vocal production is borderline annoying and I disagree with the reviewer that it doesn't take away at all, why cover up the music with a blaring vocal track? Lastly there are some cheesy moments and I think the influences are a bit too obvious. An impressive debut and I look forward to a followup that might help them find a bit more of their own identity.

2.5 average | BtwntheAKIRAndMe | October 11th 15 | High 5 out of 10: This band is incredibly talented, don't get me wrong. If I listened to this in 2013 or even 2014, I would think this was one of the best. However, it's been a long time since I enjoyed progressive music that is like this, and it's far too cheesy for me to really enjoy too much. However, if you are into progressive rock/metal, I would not ignore this one by any means, because these guys are certainly talented and some of the moments (especially in the harsh vocals) are pretty tight.

4.5 superb | TheFourthCircle25 | June 6th 15 | Probably my favorite album of 2015 so far. It's technical, progressive, weird, chaotic, melodic, etc. It has everything that makes prog metal awesome. Native Construct took all their influences, from Dream Theater to Between The Buried and Me, and weave it together to form their own unique style. Such an incredible album and probably one of the best prog albums I've heard in a long time. 9.5/10

0.0 | Psynuts | May 8th 15 | This has got to be the most impressive debut ive heard in the last decade. Such talented musicians, to mix so many different genres and come up with an album of this caliber. Instant classic!

4.5 superb | MrBrutusMargina | May 7th 15 | It falls short of being a classic because of its shorteness, but this is a breeze of fresh
air and a band to follow in the futur. This remind me of Devin Townsend Project's
Deconstruction but shorter and with less aggression. This album is one of the best of the
year !

4.0 excellent | Jared Floryan | May 3rd 15 | By the hair of Samara, I can see Native Construct going places in the near future. The band's debut full-length album Quiet World not only sounds inspired, but it also has this unexplainable freshness to the record which will only become more apparent once enough time is given to fully absorb its somewhat breathtaking content. Be forewarned that the album opens and ends on a high note with "Mute" and the 12-minute epic "Chromatic Aberration" respectively.

3.0 good | harddrughartman | March 8th 24 | Look, i get what they're going for. just a bit too noodly for my taste. i think prog is best when elements of the song are allowed time to develop, and the breakneck pace of theme shifts within seconds of another doesn't do much for me. but, well produced and clearly a lot of passion put into this. will likely never listen again.

4.0 excellent | fantalas | August 9th 19 | This stuff is really dynamic, changing mood every half minutes. The heavy parts doesn't sound heavy at all but still 8.5/10

3.0 good | PunchedPeach72 | December 18th 15 | At it's core, it's between the buried and me worship with a few more bells and whistles tbh (the more theatrical stuff comes off as a bit cheesy to me). Probably would've enjoyed it more if I hadn't listened to BTBAM prior, but there are still certainly plenty of enjoyable aspects to this album. Idk what these people hailing it as "the next generation of prog metal!!" are on, have they never listened to BTBAM before? High 2.5-light 3/5

4.2 excellent | Thompson D. Gerhart STAFF | June 3rd 15 | This is a landmark of a new standard in progressive metal - the kind of stuff that brings the same sort of drama and intrigue that Images and Words once sparked.

3.5 great | Alex C. | May 16th 15 | As spazzy as you'd expect from a band that got the favours of BtBaM, the only criticisms I have is that the concept is not that good and the songs are, as is the case for this kind of music, quite hit and miss - but since the music takes 360? leaps every 20 seconds, is it even a problem?
