Behemoth's influences are great and work their way into the music pretty well, though we only get a few moments that full utilize their strengths. The majority of the album finds itself in a bit of a slow rut which leaves these points feeling underwhelming. Even so, there's definitely some fun to be had on The Apostasy, just don't expect it to be a complete blast.

Well, this was an odd album. Behemoth do what they do best; brutal music. The issue however, it has no variation, and is at times dangerously generic. Other times however, they will come up with some excellent riffs or leads. Therefore tgis ends up a highly inconsistent effort overall.

Somebody's got to be average, right? There's nothing really wrong here, there's just too much filler, and while "Prometherion" and "SLaying the Prophets ov Isa" are indeed standout works but too much of the rest is bland at best. Behemoth have more in them than this but here they can't put it together.

The Apostasy is an excellent record. Nergal left Demigod's layered vocals but his voice remains extremely violent and Inferno's performance here is once again unbelievable. My favourite tracks are Slaying The Prophets Ov Isa, At The Left Hand Ov God, Be Without Fear, Arcana Hereticae and specially the "Slayer oriented" Libertheme. Behemoth is probably the most consistent extreme metal band around.

this album among all behemoth albums is amazing i have just downloaded it and for sure will be there when it comes out to buy this album is amazing every song struck me as a good metal song. the vocals are alittle different than demigod but are still good they are more comprehensible than demigod. solos are in alot of songs and the drums are still fast and amazing the album is amazing...
