this is fun and, along with Oceania, still much better than anything else TSP have put out since Adore, but it lacks its own personality and voice. where Oceania had a very distinctive feel and theme throughout, the tracks here feel more disjointed and forced together. Monuments to an Elegy comes off as more of a mixtape/EP than a full on LP, which makes it a worthwhile, but underwhelming listen.

Not a single track stands out. It's easy to hate Billy Corgan, it's easy to root for him, but objectively, it's hard to call this record much more than an occasionally interesting overall failure. 1 Bumps \| Bump

Pure Pumpkins pop, but with some guts, energy, and passion behind it musically. Though I think I rlike 2012's Oceania better as a whole, there are some single cuts from this one that top any rsingle track from Oceania's grander scale. Will be interesting to see how this pairs with next ryear's Day for Night. Tiberius is probably the best thing Corgan has done since MCIS. 1 Bumps \| Bump

As an ALBUM experience, Oceania beats this album. However, I think there are song highlights that eclipse the songs on Oceania (Drum and Fife, Tiberius, Monuments). But Run To Me... ugh... worst song Corgan has ever made in my opinion and is what drags this down for me. Bump
