I'm kind of conflicted on this album- some good songwriting, a few monotonous bits. Incredibly cheesy lyrics, but clearly toungue-in-cheek. I certainly have some strong feelings about this one, which is a positive thing I guess.

Lyrics were a strong point previously for Matt & co of Relient K. Even their early early albums were still at least clever; tongue in cheek as it were. Mmhmm had it's fair share of lyrical gems, and the album was undeniably catchy. Another solid release from a band I had started to really like. This album was boring. Unoriginal. Un-inventive. Way too one-dimensional and way too focused on Matt's contributions. Thankfully, they returned to form somewhat with their latest release. As for this album, their could melt crayons on it for all I care.

I grew up with this band, and while I agree that some of the tunes on this album are weak, the heart put into it is huge enough for me to give it a 4/5.

Relient K as put out many good albums but this one just put the cherry on top. Matt put genius lyrics into their catchy up-beat tunes. "Must have done something right" and "I Need You" blew me away. This is a great album.
