This album reminds me why I loved Monuments so much when I first heard Gnosis. Chris Barretto's vocals are AWESOME addition to the band. He has a lot more range and power than the previous guy. The riffs are brought and the technicality is certainly there.

Easily one of my favourite releases of 2014. Musicianship is crisp (especially the drums) and Chris Barretto has a fantastic voice. I, the Destroyer, Garden of Sankhara and Atlas are my favourite tracks.

This is what Periphery would sound like if they grew a pair of balls and decided to actually play metal.

Hard-hitting djent with some serious groove and melody. Chris Baretto, their new vocalist, has amazing screams and clean vocals.

The Amanuensis is a melodic progressive djent album that sounds very similar to Periphery. There are some pretty good grooves and catchy melodies.

Melodic, progressive Djent. Great vocals but everything blends together very fast. This is an album that's probably better in small doses before the repetition kills it.

Great songs but I miss the raw sound they had on Gnosis. Saga City is brilliant though, John Browne writes sweet riffs.

i enjoyed Gnosis, but this album is just miles ahead of their first. while i will forever love We Are The Foundation, The Amanuensis is a very possible contender for the best monuments release to date. more groovy riffs, more unique tracks, Barretto sounds phenomenal. my only gripe is the quality of the recordings, but that may very possibly be the result of the leak being of low quality.

Just leaked. Jinn is a fucking mammoth of a track! Production is a bit shoddy though but that maybe the leak quality. Even though it is 256kbps.
