This is a good "second wave" black metal album overall, but most of the songs are crafted with the exact same formula, at the expense of the album's replay value. The raw sound further homogenizes the album, which is ideal for casual black metal listening sessions only.

Black metal has never sounded any trooer than it has here. Finnish doom lords Sargeist have crafted a Satanic masterpiece of zazz filth. The Satan riffs of evil, the Satan hate of a 1000 scorned gods, the Satan jizzing production of unquenchable repugnance....it's all here and in spades of the blackest shades of black. For 48 minutes Sargeist punches you repeatedly in the dick with a blitzkrieg of evil trem picks and riffs. If you don't at least 4.5 this then you're/your/you a tremendous faggot.
