A brilliant pop album disguised as a brilliant punk album, Cloud Nothings only grow with each release. Amidst all the commotion, the band never once loses track of an ear-catching hook, an unexpected melody, or a massive chorus. And the second half of Pattern Walks is just brilliant. r(No, I don't think it's a classic, I just think it deserves the highest rating available.)
I've listened to this like 10 times and will keep trying to enjoy this but I feel like it's an exercise in futility. Very homogenous. Psychic Trauma, I'm Not a Part of Me, and Now Hear In are bangers though. Disappointing overall, Attack on Memory was amazing.
Behind all the sloppy punk goodness, Cloud Nothings have put intricate care into this - the hooks creep out with
each repeat listen, making the album that bit more enjoyable each time. Where as Attack On Memory grew off
me pretty fast, I just keep coming back to this.
