In every song it sounds like a ghetto black girl is trying to come out of Tyler Carter. He can't hold her in forever.

I don't even feel guilty for the pleasure I find in this album. This is as radio-core as my music tastes get because it's incredibly simple but Tyler Carter's vocal hooks are A+ and the guitar sounds so cool even though I (with next to no guitar talent) could learn it all with barely any effort.

who knew one of the Jones Brothers was the singer for a nu-metal/metalcore band lol. but yeah this album is just really really bad, i do not even see how metalcore kids or nu-metal fans would enjoy this

Half the time, Issues' self-titled debut offering just reeks of stupidity. The riffs are milquetoast at best, Tyler Carter's vocals are beyond nerve-grating, and the blending of genres does not an interesting record make. The production quality is the only stand-out from the album, sadly enough.

I do think that Tyler Carter is a talented singer, but not a rapper. Also, nu-metal hasn't been revelant in 10 years or more, so if they think that they doing something new or groundbreaking, they're wrong. Another average "risecore band".

Issues's self-titled release is insanely catchy, and the genre-blend is mildly refreshing, but all of the chuggy djent riffs will run together and it will be hard to remember what track you are on. However, this is definitely a step-up from the EP and I'm excited to see what these gentlemen come up with in the future.

I can kind of see where the criticisms of this band are coming from, but I think Issues is a band that pulls off their sound well, as this album features a lot of variety, ranging from nu-metal, to djent, to modern pop. In fact, this is a better choice for music fans to listen to than any boring and repetitive pop/dubstep song.

Issues inject their brand of monotonous chugging with elements of R&B, hip-hop, EDM, and nu-metal, and fail miserably. Mixing Limp Bizkit esque rapping and turntables with Justin Bieber knockoff vocals, an instrumental/hip-hop/dubstep interlude, and the same, stale djenty chug riff in every single song seems like a cruel joke. Since Issues have absolutely nothing going on instrumentally, they rely on singer Tyler Carter to carry the weight. Tyler is a technically talented singer, but the overproduction added to his voice coupled with his stale, repetitive melodies and lyrics don't add up to any memorable hooks worth mentioning.

Surprising for metalcore. Carter is starting to sound more like a bastardized JT with every release, but his vocal
hooks and soulful delivery really separate issues from their contemporaries despite their unoriginal ideas.
"Remember when" even somehow comes across as epic in spite of its predictability.

This is disappointing. I was expecting an awesome expansion from their EP, but this is a bit different. Feels more basic in comparison and lacks the feel of their previous work. rThere are a few good songs though, "Tears on the Runway pt 2" is excellent.

Had high hopes considering the EP showed potential. This album has the same generic djent riff on every song despite some unique R&B moments. Sadly the only redeeming factor is Tyler's voice but it fails to carry the album. Still better than Woe is Me, but that means nothing at this point lol.
