Five years after their sophomore album, Need re-emerge with a new album, an album in which gloomy progressive rock has overshadowed all their other - and more extreme sounding - influences evidenced in Siamese God. Performance is passionate, album is technically flawless and legitimately enjoyable, but imho and unlike Siamese God, the elements of surprise and freshness are missing.
