| 4.5 superb | Andrew Walker | January 7th 11 | I really love this rap album. One of the best, could be a five, but it's not quite there.

| 3.5 great | DisNig | September 1st 10 | This is a great album if you're at a point when all the rap you hear is bleeding together. The beats are unbalanced, like the flow, they work perfectly together with Raskit's crazy theme. The accent only helps.

| 4.5 superb | TheGrimeReport | October 9th 08 | A Classic. I dont think people really knew at the time how good this album was. Remember he made this album in his teens, and the potential was there.
I prefer this album to the others, just because of its grittiness. It seems he is more commercially aware in next two. Anyway back to this, in the top 3 grime cd's for me along with 'Home Sweet Home' and 'Ghetto Gospel'. Apart from 'So Solid' Dizzee was the pioneer for gime. The first (but i am sure not the last) grime artist to break the US, with his unique flow and story telling ability.
The Good:
Sittin Here- Opener. Sick beat and sets the tone for the rest of the album.
I Luv U- The first single released. The best beat on the album, everything that grimes about.
Fix Up Look Sharp- Everyone should know this. Played at almost every rave because its so catchy. Dizzee just having a bit of fun, and made a classic tune. A good line that i enjoy is:
Flushin MC's down the loo,
If you don't believe me bring your posse, bring your crew,
Feel free to hate cos i ain't trying-a be your mate,
Be serious you wouldn't last an hour in my shoes
It's an Air-Force-One,
Trainers by the truck load, trainers by the tonne,
Don't feel dazed when I catch you by your jays,
Chump, best to act like Forrest Gump, best to run!
Hold Ya Mouf- My favorite track. A little cameo by Gods Gift but a good feature from him. Great little line:
You dont make no sense to me
If i switch i wont act sensibly
I'll make you care intensively
Leave u in a coma for a week
Jus A Rascal- The third supplement released to the commercial world. Taz apparently helped out with this beat with the inclusion of guitars. If so, good job!. Another raver tune.
Jezebel- Depicts social backgrounds in east london. Everyones favorite.
Overall, it is a classic. And with his following album 'Showtime', shows why he has so much hype around him. Many people underrate this as an ability but he has immense clarity in his vocals. No matter how fast he spits, you can hear every word. Although i like 'maths and english' and unlike other mc's he is very natural on other bpm's, i wish he would go back to 140bpm just for one last time. One more Boy in Da Corner would be amazing.

| 4.0 excellent | tn819 | August 5th 08 | In a time when rappers were increasingly dropping lyrics about bitches, hoes, and chains, Dizzee released something that completely rocked my world. This has some of the most original production and lyricism I've ever heard. The novelty has worn up but this is prime entertainment and even has a few thoughtful tracks.

| 3.5 great | Joe Sullivan | July 3rd 07 | In my opinion, this is the best of Dizzee Rascals albums. He uses inventive samples and peppers his straight-up grime/hip-hop backing with dub-inflected ideas and rhythms. Add to this his insanely fast rapping (Jus' A Rascal) and a good use of one liners (I Luv U) and you have a real quality album that has proved to be quite crossover - tracks like Fix Up Look Sharp are often played in rock clubs. The best tracks are quite often the slower, more pensieve tracks - my personal favourite is opener Sittin Here - and his lyrics mostly avoid the typical grime cliches of 'thug life' (which he has slipped into with his latest release), with his take on modern sociality a more prevalent theme.
