Lady Gaga released her junior album ARTPOP on November 6, 2013 by Steamline and Interscope records after much delay and hype. Receiving high praises by critics and fans. ARTPOP has reached peak positions in several countries worldwide, top of the charts in the UK, Scotland, and Japan, also great standings in Norway, Australia, and the Czech Republic giving Lady Gaga a strong foundation in her newly produced album still in infancy, and gaining more momentum.
ARTPOP is a colourful, and eccentric piece of music, filled with enjoyable rhythms, dynamic fluctuation in good use of catchy even sometimes beautiful melodies, especially the powerful melancholic vocals in “Dope,” or grungy twinge in “Manicure”. On the surface ARTPOP is a solid album, yet in the depths of the concept and lyrical value, ARTPOP is an over-produced and over-sexed, and very underwhelming with the repetitive subject of sex, alcohol, drugs, and more sex. The hedonistic theme explodes in the ear canal of listeners as a line from “Do What U Want,” resounds from speakers boldly expressing, “You can’t have my heart, and you won’t use my mind, but do what you want with my body.” Is a prime example of women granting men to use them as sexual objects without consequence, these lyrics in the context of the song, along with “Aura,” “Sexxx Dreams,” “Venus,” “Swine,” and “Fashion!” sum up the message of ARTPOP which apparently conveys art as "a celebration and a poetic musical journey," which is contrary to the actual message presented in ARTPOP. Lady Gaga by no means is an original or eloquent lyricist, the mundane redundancy of “I’ll keep on searching for an answer, cause I need you than dope.” Is the kind of a cliché riddled lyrics permeating through her latest album; ARTPOP is the same recycled product recorded by her predecessors, nothing more, and nothing less.

Hey it's 2013 and we're having FUN! Truly, apart from a few mythological references (why not), it's a record of hedonistic, boastful, and anthemic energy, full of all the aspects that already make 2013 pop music sound dated: some slight WUB WUBs, cheap Eurodance synths, and claps that seem to have been recorded analogically. More importantly: despite the constant will to deliver bangers, none of these tunes manage to make a lasting impression. At least it's not as annoying as Born This Way.

"ArtPop" is pop, but it is in no way artsy. the last album had more creative variety then this one. It really blends together and gets really tedious to get through, even the singles for this album were not very good. "Swine" is the only song worth checking out here

Artpop as a whole is probably better than Born This Way but it still stands that Gaga's most consistent works were The Fame and The Fame Monster, holding the most overall quality and not solely relying on it's singles to carry it. rI legitimately enjoy GUY and Applause quite a bit. I'd say they're probably better than all the singles off of Born This Way entirely, which is a shame because they had less than half the buzz any of those songs did. rIll be interested to see what she does next, for the time being it seems like Lady Gaga chose to fullfill the role of the light burning twice as bright burning half as long. Except in her case she shone 5x as bright as she needed and her peak popularity lasted a few years at best.

In a classic case of Eminem Syndrome, Gaga begins with the faulty premise that someone gives a shit and proceeds to argue her way into irrelevancy. Ironically, "Applause" is both the worst example of this and the only song here that holds up alongside her best work.

While Artpop shows Lady GaGa at her most "creative" to date (and I mean that in the LOOSEST of terms), there still isn't a reason why anyone would go GaGa over this highly forgettable album. Oh well, at least she's not turning into a motorcycle while making the most idiotic face like on the Born This Way album cover, so that makes Artpop "Koi No Yokan" compared to that.

'Artpop' kind of follows the generic track listing for any female pop singer. I ended up listening to this on the iTunes Radio first playthrough, and it's nothing spectacular. I will say that there were a lot of songs on this album that were full of cheesy, sexually promiscuous lyrics, but what else can you really expect from a woman that shows up with nothing but caution tape around her lady parts and calls it 'theatricality'.
