I liked six songs, and HATED 5. The alternate duet versions were better on 2 out of 3. Not even Max C. could save that godawful "I.M Sin", oy. And I personally loved American Capitalist. Do you really want me to describe in great detail just how terribly unamusing and painfully generic The Wrong of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell is? The album's (Vol. 1, to be exact) cover art - which is honestly the best part about this offering - will already have you acknowledging just how predictable hard rock apes Five Finger Death Punch are. If they concentrated less on that hulking bodybuilder-like image they're trying to maintain oh so much and focused more on aiming to become better songwriters, 5FDP wouldn't be the butt of many jokes, I guess. Whilst The Wrong Side of Heaven... does contain a few genuinely cool tracks, with a bit of an emphasis on that f-word there, the rest is all a crock of shit you'd hear at a testosterone-filled professional wrestling match with the most bloodthirsty, annoying crowd ever imagined.

What happened? Ok, I was never a big 5FDP fan, but their first two albums were pretty damn good nonetheless. American Capitalist was average at best. Now, we have this... i really do not know what to say. It sounds like Metallica trying to sound hip and cool again whilst trying to incorporate hardcore in their music. Bump

I don't want to say that these guys are one of the big problems with modern commercial metal, but lets just say that if they just disappeared entirely the metal scene would seem a lot less sophomoric, generic, and all around less cliched to the popular eye. Basically this album is made up of two different types of songs the cringe worthy "come at me bro" style of angry just for the sake of being angry and the slightly less cringe worthy but still boring as fuck ballad. Also these fucking lyrics...I mean "Burn Mother Fucker Burn"..are you serious Mr. Moody? Some of the guitar riffs and solos are good and it makes certain songs not half bad like the title track, other than that hopefully this commercial piece of garbage fades away real fucking soon.

Inaudible bass, uninspired drumming, mediocre chugging and riffing on guitar, and some of the most pretentious of vocals on the planet. As for the lyrics: more vague than Breaking Benjamin, more cliche than Nickelback. Bump

If they altered their verse chorus verse chorus solo chorus formula rmore often, it might be a 4.5. Each time they do, its very refreshing. Top tracks are Watch You Bleed, Wrong rSide of Heaven, Anywhere but Here, M.I.N.E, and Dot Your Eyes. Way better than the subpar American rCapitalist and is easily the best material they've done. Very excited for vol. 2.
