The Difference Between Hell and Home combines the best parts of Counterparts previous two full-lengths, resulting in some of their strongest material. Every track is in a league of its own, with some exceptional highlights being 'Compass', 'Slave' and 'Soil'. Remarkable album.

Ambiguity is all I hear when I listen to this. Nondescript dissonance. I can't remember any songs as I sit here typing this. Unlike The Current Will Carry Us which has loads of memorable moments. Prophets too. But this... The production is great. The band is as tight as ever. The riffs though... Theres nothing to latch onto. Maybe it will grow on me. I'll keep listening.

Definitely one of the albums I've anticipated for and it so far satisfies not only myself but others as well, they've decided to go a little bit back into their roots while using the similar sound of Prophets but as well as also adding a little mix of their other records like the split EP with Exalt and The Currents Will Carry Us All LP. The cleans and the melodic parts of this album are definitely for sure the ones that are gonna keep the old fans of the band satisfied with since not only does it serve as a good highlight of the record but it's also greatly executed and gives the listener a nostalgic reminder to their previously well done record.

Solid Counterparts record, as all Counterparts record, even though this one is my fav. I realize only now I should have listened to this band instead of The Ghost Inside when I was 16.

"The Difference Between Hell and Home" is my favorite Counterparts album. Melodic Hardcore, as well as the more contemporary Emo roots, work in harmony in what is arguably the best album of 2013. I have always had a very special relationship with the songs that are here, and it will always be that way.

Brendan Murphy is a goddamn poet. This album resonates with me almost too personally. It helped me get through the worst of my depression even. My favorite song by band will always be "Decay".
