There were some interesting and good songs in the beginning and middle but the album still lacked variety in the majority of the later songs. The album just became repetitious to listen to as songs went on.
The Black Dahlia Murder does another pretty good imitation of their other albums with their 2013 release. While this is the same tried and true style of music that we've heard from the band many times before, the music itself is still of a very high quality despite the similarities. If it ain't broke... don't fix it.
Huge Black Dahlia fan and I love "Into the Everblack". My only complaint is that the music sounds a bit simpler, but I am basing that off one track. If I had to guess on what my favorite tracks will be on name alone I'd pick "Phantom Limb Masturbation", "In Hell Is Where She Waits For Me", and "Raped in Hatred By Vines of Thorn".
