the stripped down approach is refreshing, but also restrictive.. the upbeat fiddle+banjo combo gets repetitive, and the album isn't dynamic enough to leave a lasting impression. the lyrics are pretty typical anti-corporate musings, but seem sincere. decent album. not great, but worth listening if you want some straightforward, simple upbeat folk-punk
