2.0 poor | Wizard | May 29th 13 | If I could give out a prize to a band that totally stripped their sound of everything that set themselves apart in the first place, Richard Patrick would win by a landslide.

2.0 poor | judasgoat | September 6th 16 | After 2010's awesome The Trouble with Angels, I had some high hopes for this album. Unfortunately, what I got in return was probably Filter's most half-assed album. It's one thing to say "the songs all sound the same," but it's another thing entirely when the songs ACTUALLY sound the same. The rockers on the album are a real one trick pony. The choruses are interchangeable, with the same formula: Fast moving Drop C barred power chords while Richard Patrick screams the same high A# note while often descending down to a G. After I picked out the formula, the album got old fast. The softer songs were decent, with Surprise and the electronically-leaning title track being highlights, but I was disappointed at how blatantly Richard Patrick was ripping off of himself. Granted, The Inevitable Relapse off the last album did that as well, but at least the unique use of autotune and Patrick's renewed energy made that song enjoyable. All in all, I thought that very little effort was put into this album. For those wanting to hear this, I would recommend The Trouble with Angels instead. Or Title of Record, if you haven't heard that.

4.5 superb | Demolitionizer | May 12th 16 | I Love this album. It is my favorite Filter album. Cant get enough of it even after ive been listening for years. Favorite songs include: We Hate It When You Get What You Want ,It's Got To Be Right Now & Surprise honestly every song on the album is atleast listenable. While not a perfect record by any stretch of the imagination. It is still a stellar release and is the album I use to introduce people to Filter

2.5 average | premmisseth | August 25th 13 | I was a big Filter fan since the Short Bus and Filter I use to know had angst with a lot to say and nihilistic attitude which was the reflection of my youth character.rWith this latest edition Filter goes up to a route of "ooooh oooooh's", trendy production and sounds which I would never expect from Filter with the safety belt buckled on to tight and with far too uplifting and optimistic vibe (Which isn't bad per se, but not with Filter).rIt's like Tool would go and start doing sounds like 30 sec to Mars. It doesn't feel 'natural', does it..rThe only song which sound like Filter in prime times is 'Take That Knife Out Of My Back."r
