I'm not completely sure what to make of Kavinsky's first full length. On one hand his recent
surge in popularity really demanded something lengthier than his prior releases, so this
will appease new fans craving more. Coincidentally some of the tracks here feel out of
place, the most notable being "Suburbia" which feels uninspired and watered down (even if
you happen to be following the theme of the album). There are definitely some interesting
moments to be found (and those delightfuly retro sounding syths), but nothing quite as
strong as SebastiaAn's Total.

Nice to listen to synth-wave, although generally inoffensive and uninventive. Nightcall is a great song, but you all know that, don't you. - 5.0

Some good Synthpop and Downtempo, but lacks more depth. Don't let a prelude fool you; there isn't a story, just rsome great tunes for driving. Some of these songs were recycled to add length to this, which I find lazy. Fans rwho are looking for new material will find about half of these songs fresh, with the other half seeming to be rexactly the same tracks from his EPs. If you don't own any of his previous material and still like Synthpop with rFrench House, give this LP a try.
