While we would have hoped for more songs, the two tracks presented in this EP are impressive. Pitch Black is extremely groovy with a great guitar solo courtesy of Fredrik Thordendal, and Dancers To A Discordant System sounds fantastic in a live setting.

Once again Meshuggah deliver the goods in this brief EP. The song itself really isn't that much of a stand alone track and on a regular Meshuggah album this would be more of a transition or opening track, like I Am Colossus or most of Catch Thirty Three. Pitch Black is still a great and interesting song and the guitar solo in the later half is very well crafted. Also of course the live version of Dancers To A Discordant System is crushing and definitely a great addition.
