The couple of gems here are superb, but it's just not enough.

Sometimes I give up on hardcore music, and then sometimes a band like Comadre release an album and my
faith is briefly restored. A rare band that can really transfer the energy of their live show to record.
Combining the frantic musicianship of their past material with a newf pound willingness to go full on with
their 80's post-punk and 90's Weezer influence, Comadre is hopefully a stepping stone for more dense,
macabre and danceable punk music to come into the scene.

A great way to push skramz forward. Of course the vocals are harsh, the guitars piercing, and also, damn these dynamics. But it's when Comadre brings in melody that this swan song takes all its sense: these acoustic guitar licks in the closer, the epic guitar leads in "Cold Rain" or in "Summercide", the horns in "Drag Blood", or the synths in "Untitled". It's still skramz, but with accessible elements that could appeal to non-fans of the genre. Pushing the envelope while appealing to plebs, now that's very post. Post-skramz.
