Much better than Epoch, but not as good as the debut. It's a bit patchy in terms of quality,
and the songs tend to drag a little. But Hands of Dust is really fucking good. Some serious
post-metal influences too this time around. Btw what's up with the metalcore breakdown at
the end of Consequence haha?
This... Is goddamn amazing. The perfect blend of the best parts of their soaring atmospheric black metal rage, and their lulling expansive post metal soundscapes, the contrast is perfectly balanced across the entire album, and quite effectively takes you to another place. It will take some patience to absorb but multiple listens will reveal poise and tenacity, restraint and force in nearly equal parts, all combining to create a truly memorable experience.
