I could go on for hours so I'll keep this brief.
The songs are all stellar, with a few being candidates for a Best Songs Ever list (i.e. : A Day in the Life, She's Leaving Home).
Each song has it's own "character" (Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite! is a rocked up carnival/cantaloupe piece, When I'm Sixty-Four is a tongue-in-cheek dancehall send up, She's Leaving Home is a sweet triple-time ballad, etc.)
The album is very cohesive and coherant, not too long, not too short, not over- or under-produced, doesn't have any filler.
The music features the best aspects of traditional songwriting while at the same time having it's own quirkiness and charm (such as the time signature changes, instrumentation, lyrics and harmony in Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds).
The album is about 80% tongue in cheek but 100% sincere.
The album covers many moods and emotions across only 13 songs.
I don't care if it's "important" or "influential", I love this album because of the music and the music alone. Maybe some people don't get it, and it's not my place to argue with them, but personally I believe it to be the greatest album ever made.

Underrated, yet overrated at the same time. Not many like it, but a lot of people love it. Sgt. Pepper is arguably the most controversial Beatles record. But I love it. 5/5, yo. 5/5.

The influence of this album is certainly undeniable, and I'm sure that probably 90% of the bands I like are, in one way or another, influenced by it. But if we're meant to judge the albums from an impartial point of view, I can't really find anything that makes it worthy of a score higher than 2. I don't see how this is so groundbreaking, since there is little variation from what the Beatles had been doing for the previous 2 or 3 albums. The orchestrations are overrated, since even more popular artists had done this more than 10 years ago (and I mean, Sinatra).
The choral arrangements are also overrated.....has noone ever heard a soul/R&B record??
The songs are most of the time boring, and at times, annoying (With a little help..., Being for the benefit....).
I only found two enjoyable songs here: Within You, Without You and the title track. The former is truly amazing, and the latter is a great proto-garage attack. Fixing a Hole is nice for it's jazzy feel, but really, there's not much more here.

Simply, the greatest album ever made. Unlike Revolver, which is the album's only real challenge for greatest album, every track on here has new surprises, catchy choruses and great tunes. The production is absolutely top notch, and every single track on this album is unforgettable. Revolver suffers from the 'same thing' syndrome, which thankfully, does not plague this album at all.

While this is not my favorite Beatles album, nor is it their musically best, there is no doubt that Sgt. Pepper's was the album that changed music history forever. The variety of genres and the complexity with which they were interchanged is remarkable. Lennon and McCartney's vocal harmonies and lyrical exchange were the pinnacle of their songwriting abilities. Sgt. Pepper's was the first album ever to print the lyrics for all the songs inside the package. Now, we consider ourselves ripped off if the lyrics are bolding sitting in front of us. The title tracks are exquisite openers and closers and all the music in between is darn near flawless. If you have never heard this album before (first off, is that even possible?), it is your duty as a music fan to find this album. Sgt. Pepper's even contains possibly the greatest song ever written, A Day in the Life.

'Sgt. Pepper's' is the definition of a classic, from its perfect songwriting, track order, production, and influence on the music industry as a whole. Even though some believe that 'Abbey Road' is slightly better, 'Sgt. Pepper's' is an experience you will not forget. From the rocking title track to the epic, "A Day in the Life", it is indeed one of the most, if not the most important album of all time. Check out: The whole thing.

I would never dream of dismissing the influence, importance, and legacy of this album. And I'm only happy to acknowledge that millions of people consider this the best album ever made, and that my opinion is in the minority, to say the least. What I will say, though, is that I just can't derive any sustained enjoyment from this record. "When I'm Sixty-Four", "With A Little Help From My Friends", "Getting Better", and "Lovely Rita" all sound like filler to these ears, particularly the first two, which struck me as juvenile even when I had to sing them in primary school. "She's Leaving Home" bores me, "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" sounds too crude in the way it switches ungracefully from the 3/4 verse to the 4/4 chorus, and while I respect the spirit of invention and playfulness at the heart of "Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite", I don't enjoy listening to it. The two title tracks are nice, melodic rock songs, but they're bettered by the entire first half of Abbey Road, 11 of the 12 tracks on Revolver, and the vast majority of Rubber Soul and A Hard Day's Night, too. "A Day In The Life" is magnificent, but I find myself clinging to it, because it's the only thing here that genuinely impresses me. I'm well aware that my opinion does nothing to tarnish the reputation of this record, and I'm not one of the Pepper haters who screams from the hilltops that this is the most over-rated album in existence, but this album just isn't for me.

Increadibly innovative, unorthodox, fresh, inspiring, amazing are just a few words I can use to describe this masterpeice of the 60's. I bought this album expecting a few great pop songs, I was pleasantly surprised. Far out tunes on top of each other all brilliant from start to finnish absolutely no filler whatsoever.

It's a great album, yes, some of these tracks are timeless, but I've never been able to understand how this can
be considered the greatest album ever by so many people. The title tracks are pretty good, and I think they
serve as great openers and closers, not to mention as a lead in to A Day in the Life (a song I appreciate for its
intricacy and grandeur but have never truly cared for). When it comes to a few of the tracks Getting Better,
Fixing a Hole, Lovely Rita, and When I'm Sixty-Four, I've never seen any of these as more than filler. They're
good, but cannot compare at all with classics A Little Help, Lucy in the Sky, or Within you Without You. As far
as just plain good goes, I've always been a fan of She's Leaving Home (which is generally seen as a weaker
track), and have always been on the fence with Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite (which is almost always
relegated to Beatles classics). I see this album as a great Beatles record, but hardly classic.

It's Sgt. Pepper, need I say more? This album is the definition of a masterpiece and there is no other way to put it. The album not only contains some of the greatest Beatles' tracks but some of the greatest musical adventures known to man. Whether it may be the genius opening tracks of the album; the 2 transitional pieces "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band"/"With A Little Help From My Friends" or the hallucinogenic magnum opus of the album "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds", Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band has something for anybody and everybody and it will go down as one of the greatest albums of all time

My favorite album from my first favorite band. Cover to cover, this is the most complete Beatles album, and 'A Day in the Life' is their seminal achievement. Even the tracks on here that not everyone knows are gems that contribute to a sublime musical progression.

"The Beatles suck." Those three words enter my ears almost every day. I hate them so very much. I will agree that they might not be the best band ever (personally) but I will agree that they are the most important band ever. The Beatles changed music with this album, but I still don't think it's as good as Abbey Road. Just an opinion, but one I personally enjoy having. I still love the Beatles though.

Without a doubt one of my favorite albums of all time. I loved it when I first listened to it years ago and still love it to this day. I personally feel that this is The Beatles work and nobody is going to convince me otherwise. I think I have a strong connection to this album because it was the first Beatles album I had ever heard. I saw that it was ranked #1 on Rolling Stones 500 greatest albums of all time list and I just had to hear it. While it might not be the best or greatest album of all time it certainly worthy of the title as very few albums have the impact this one has had. On the other hand I can certainly see why people might see this as inferior to other Beatles albums. It is quite childish at times and that can be a turn off too many people who listen to expecting it to be like Revolver or Rubber Soul. With that said this will always remain my favorite Beatles album as I personally don't understand the hype around either Revolver or Rubber Soul, but I do recognize as very good and important albums of their time.

It constantly amazes me how the Beatles continue to be vastly overrated. Yes, they were a major influence on everyone and without them we wouldn't be where we are today in music. Great. Put them on a fucking list of 'Most Influential Bands of All Time' not 'Best Band of All Time'. Just because they started it all, doesn't mean they're the best. I mean, there's a reason why I have a newer computer...because the old ones fucking suck. You dont see that old shit listed as being the best computers of all time just because they started it all. Because they aren't. Also, the lyrics are complete shit, something people care about when listening to all other bands except this one.

OK, I'm going to come right out and say it: this is not my personal favorite Beatles album. In fact, there are quite a few songs on this album that I can not stand. "When I'm Sixty Four" is amongst my least favorite songs in their catalog. "Good Morning Good Morning" is just straight up ridiculous. However, in terms of influence, this is undeniably the greatest album ever made. Without Sgt. Peppers, I doubt that your favorite band would exist. Sgt. Peppers sent psychadelic rock into overdrive, and while there are a lot of cliches that came out of that era, a lot of long strides came out of it. Also, the high points on this album are unreachable. "A Day in the Life" is hard to touch in terms of song writing and structure. Sure, I wouldn't say this album has aged quite well; that is to say listening to it today is a little werid, but I can only imagine living in 1967 and picking up the new Bealtes album and hearing it for the first time and having my mind blown into a million fucking pieces. My step mom told me about the first time she heard this album. She listened to it, then, as soon as it was over, she flipped side 2 back over to side 1 and repeated it. Without this album, everything would be different.

Hahaha, an explanation? Tracks one through thirteen please. Regardless of what anyone may think about the quality of this album, it holds an array of not only some of my favorite Beatles tracks; but I feel it's has the most success as a whole. There's nothing here I'd ever skip, or tire of -- I anticipate each track after the next with the same excitement as ever. Instantaneous joy in the purest sense.
