Lazy, uninspired and boring. Blink-182 ruin the shreds of potential they had set up with "Neighborhoods" with this unsatisfying release, bland instrumentation, lethargic vocal delivery and rather generic lyrics completely ruin what could have been a good EP.
Aside from the awkward "day after Christmas" chorus in "Boxing Day" and the Yelawolf verse in "Pretty Little Girl", this is a great EP and continues right where Neighborhoods left off.
As a person who hasn't been a blink-182 enthusiast, but has enjoyed a few songs here and there, i found this to be quite pleasant. The first release I ever downloaded from them. Most of the songs are good, but in general my stance on this band has not changed. I don't understand their immense popularity. Just don't get the hype.
This EP is what the logical step from the self-titled album would be. Neighborhoods was a good album, but awkward and didn't feel like Blink. You can tell that there was chemistry between these guys when they were in studio together. Pretty Little Girl would probably be my personal favorite Blink song ever if they picked someone else besides Yelawolf to do the rap part.
I liked the sound they were going for with s/t and neighbourhoods and I was hoping they would expand their
sound again. Oh well, atleast we don't have to hear people complain about wanting blink-182 to sound like they
did pre-s/t anymore
