Great album all the way through. It has to be my favorite Taylor Swift album to date. There is a little bit of everything on Red, as Swift displays some versatility. Possibly album of the year.

You thought I had given up on my discog run didn't you? Honestly this is my fave record of hers so far, and I don't quite get why her country era stuff is rated so much higher. I guess I just don't like the genre, whereas I don't mind more generic pop like this. Structurally this has two acts: the one from 1-7 where she changes her sound - still generic, but away from country pop, and the one from 8-16 which goes back to her previous style and frankly bored me. The only exceptions were 9 which despite being a bit silly amused me with its fairy christmassy vibes, and 15 which goes back to the style of the first track - only to be left again come the boring closing ballad reusing some melodies from the very album, dropping this album. There are a few melodies here and there that feel very predictable, but maybe I just know the songs subconsciously. 1 is a fun opener, 2 brings the banjo back a bit and is basically a nice pop take on her prior style, 3's alright, 4 has a relatively silly rebel little girl verse but a cool dubsteppy chorus. It is cool to see her music explode a little finally. 5 and 7 are kinda like 3, but perhaps not as good. 6 I knew, it is basic pop but I still prefer this to a boring guitar ballad. Honestly on this I want to slap a 2.75

I did enjoy the experimentation on this album and the blend of different styles, however I do need to address the elephant in the room, the Co-Writing is not very good. That aside, this is a another solid album from T. Swift. Ironically I am heard this album (and am posting this sound off) on my 22nd birthday, so i guess i am feeling 22 after all.

Extremely sappy this one. While Swift shows hints of 1989 on tunes like "I Knew Your Were Trouble", these tracks only represent a minority of the record - when they are well done, which ain't often the case. The rest is mainly composed of upbeat country pop solely relying on loud choruses talking about boys and how they are no good.

While Red can feel a little indecisive between some of Taylor's different sounds (modern pop tinged with electronic beats, pop with guitars and rums, or emotional acoustic songs) it's a consistently enjoyable pop album showing some of her best songwriting.

Taylor is talking about getting back together with her ex but knows that she shouldn't. Listeners shouldn?t be too surprised by these lyrics as it is Taylor Swift we are talking about, her career consists of her pathetic love life and her whiny, ?poor me? attitude. But we still love her.rOverall Taylor's album red had paved the way for her new album 1989, which brought her the extra mile all the way to the top and she isn't coming back down anytime soon. For all those crazy swifties out there, you can rest assure that Taylor hasn't disappointed with her Red album. And she will be sure to have everyone dancing along as she sings about never getting back together with her terrible exes.r

I enjoy a lot of songs on this album (and yes, it is a pop album). Tracks 1-4 are a great way to start, 5 is only a light misstep, and 6 isn't bad. Then you get into filler and boring ballads with only "Holy Ground" (my fav), "The Lucky One", and "Starlight" worth their salt. Only "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" stands out as a must-skip.

I will never understand the love for this singer, this record is far from country, more like pre-tween pop.
