This kinda fell in between the others, and didn't hook me that much as Mental Vortex, for example. However, the closer track ("Last Entertainment") was one of their most phenomenal works - atmospere and riffs.

Coroner combine their last 2 albums to progress even further. After focusing on shreddyness on their debut, and switching to a more songwriting oriented path on their second, Coroner combine the two on their third. Along with slightly better production, it makes for a phenomenal effort, and they still haven?t hit their peak....

Coroner is that famous band created by roadies of Celtic Frost, that made a discography all conceptual and full of novelty, always surprising, and always showing that the unknown can be more shocking. "No More Color" is their best album i've heard so far, even though i've ventured a few times with "Mental Vortex", which by the way, is an overrated album. Anyway, it's cool to see how this band is able to create good songs.

Coroner have set out to create the most technical thrash records in the genre, and they reach their first pinnacle with the 10,000 riffed No More Colour. "Die By My Hand" may be their best opener and among the greatest metal openers ever created with its shredfest breaks and verses, unstoppable solos, and an off-kilter time signature that almost feels "off," like a thrilling roller coaster ride with twists and turns. "No Need To Be Human" is a train ride that never stops moving with a progressive feel despite the short run time. "Read My Scars" may be the most vicious song on the album with riffs that pierce the skin with a venomous edge and a sinister vibe. "D.O.A." has unusually high pitched riffing which makes it all the more interesting., and then there's "Last Entertainment," the album's progressive number that paves the way for their second classic Mental Cortex. That album would explore further into the progressive side of thrash and even some avante garde, but this is Coroner's finest display of riff-driven songs that would make Black Sabbath proud and make Megadeth jealous. A crowning jewel for metal, and it achieves all of this in under 34 minutes.

Fantastic thrash. While sputnik seems to be more hit-or-miss when it comes to more contemporary music (indie/folk/alt.) they are without a doubt the right people to go to for phenomenal passed-by gems. If this album is anything to go by, I may have found a new go-to for my thrash fix. 4.2/5
