You know what would be really awesome? If I could get an entire album of the same generic synth-pop song repeated eleven times. Oh, and if you could add an obscene amount of bass ducking, that would make it even better!
not only is the production inspiring, Megan James's almost twee vocals and melancholy-
strange-visceral lyrics fit perfectly with the slow pulse of head-nodding bass-synth. This
is polished, memorable, catchy, weird yet accessible, oh and GENIUS.
Visually, it is sanguine death becoming achingly
beautiful when witnessed in slow-motion.
I was disappointed having been taken in by their Ungirthed 7", but barely tapped by Shrines. The quality seen in their early releases just isn't there.
