An improvement on Sons Of The System, some good moments but nothing mind blowing.

To put it in the most shortest, sweetest way possible, Mnemic's fifth studio album is an improvement over the last two releases. Whereas Sons of the System was too overindulgent for its own good and Passenger felt indistinct, Mnemesis drops the Danish band onto a more comfortable battleground; it helps that the lineup for this album is different from the past two recordings. Guillaume showcases what is ostensibly his best vocal performance here, alternating between demonic shouts and melodic metalcore-tinged singing without many issues. The production is basically the album's major offender: the otherwise excellent instrumentation is marred by how compressed much of Mnemesis sounds. By and large, I'd say this is The Audio Injected Soul levels of enjoyable. Though it's kinda unfortunate that fans of this troupe - whoever you are out there - won't receive future releases anytime soon.

I always think of Tom Brady when listening to this. It goes with the music well lmao. Solid football rock

This is a pretty alright album. Alright though, is all it is in my mind. It's a half-return to the style of Audio Injected Soul and is primarily melodic. If you listen strictly to the instrumentation, it's pretty average. The vocal style used is a cross between post hardcore and some pretty good low-to-mid-screams. If you listen strictly to the vocals, the style they're going for is pretty dated but well done. It's only when the two come together when you will find it to be alright. It definitely isn't the best. Contends with some of the more average or worse Spineshank or Sybreed albums I've listened to. I might be going a bit too hard on it but I'll give it a 2.5 for being listenable. Atleast it's not Passenger. That album is pretty gross in a bad way.

I've really been enjoying this cd actually. Surprisingly it is probably my favorite from them at this point, although the first 2 cds were great as well.
