Definitely The Agonist's most complete album thanks to improved song writing which adds a lot character to the songs and creates great diversity between tracks. Also, Alissa continues to be a force to be reckoned with as her clean vocals, while always a strong suit, have developed even further here with greater range and power on display. Obviously, her wide array of growls and screams continue to one up almost everybody else in the scene in terms of power, range, and clarity. Highly recommend this album. Considering the progressive and technical nature of "Prisoners," multiple listens are required for this album to fully be enjoyed.
It's definitely better than their last album. They're still a female-fronted metalcore band, but they're doing better at changing things up and the growls are slightly better than before. They just need to work on making everything more memorable.
