| Snide http://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=1075139 My debut album's up man! (Snide here)
| RVAHC13 Lol good to hear, yeah I was off the site for a year or so, doesn't look like anything has changed since then...
| metalheadrunner Psh Music don't worry about it. I didn't know how to classify them so thank you (:
| Snowdog808 Hi Zack. I think you would like my recent list of amazing jazz and metal vegetarians. I'm pretty sure it has some absolute favorites of yours.
| wtferrothorn Don't worry about it. I also checked out ( ), like you recommended, and it was great, but I gotta give it a couple more spins til I get a full opinion on it.
| Torontonian https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GD-1VnPZYAc song blew my mind. Happy 2015 bro!
| wtferrothorn Thanks! I've heard great things from them, so I just wanted to know where to start. Also Happy New Year!
| manosg Happy new year dude! Wish you all the best!
| wtferrothorn You seem to be a big fan of Sigur Ros, do you where I should start with them?
| Torontonian Ya, well she's definetly heavily influenced by western music. If you're looking for completely "authentic" foreign music i suggest Ravi Shankar. Been digging him i m m e n s e l y lately
| Torontonian do you dig this song? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDepIDGKC2U
| Torontonian Ya I do. I haven't listened to him in a while though , the only albums I've heard from him are hot rats and Roxy and elsewhere. I prefer Roxy a lot more tho. I need to jam him more tbh.
| Torontonian Dexter Gordon- Our man in parisI could listen to that man for ours on end.
| Torontonian Sup. Do u think u could Give me like 5-7 jazz artist that u think are overlooked? I'm looking for new artists. Thanks! ThT would be awesome
| Torontonian ya you should, i loved it! just remember not to be turned off by the retarded "latin" elements, the actual jazz is crazy though. Ysabels Dance table is incredible.
| Torontonian hey, just out of curiousity, what do you think of the album "tijuana moods"? I really love it despite the somewhat offensive and inauthentic "mexican" elements.
| Torontonian Hey glad you dug Stanley Clarke. Great solo stuff amirite?
| Phlegm hey maneeee, so i've got a lot of spare time this weekend and i'm thinking its a good opportunity to plant my seed and slowly start branching into Jazz music - any chance you could give me your top 5 Jazz records so i have a bit of a basis to start from? cheers!
| danielcardoso Hey man, Prince's got a new album. You gonna check it?
| Torontonian Hey man please check Stanley Clarke-School days or Stanley Clarke-Stanley Clarke. Best thing ever. Her's a link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JgWMiDMt0Bk
| danielcardoso Hey man, anything special coming up for your 300th list?
| Linx Thank you for the positive comment :)
| SharkTooth I believe you missed the point of my Prince list lol
| SharkTooth I posted a response, hopefully it'll clarify problems you still are having with the review
| TwigTW I see SharkTooth went over it line by line for you, so you are all set for now--good luck with the rewrite!
| SharkTooth I think you'll need to take a bit of time with this one, post your corrected review on the proofreading thread, (just as a way of making sure)
| SharkTooth I proofread it for ya, seriously, the thing needs a bit of work.
| BMDrummer I haven't heard it before, will do later today. :]
| TwigTW No problem--I'm in work now, but I'll check it out later tonight.
| manosg Hey man, no unfortunately I don't have a last.fm account. If I ever create one, you'll be one of the first to let know.
| ArsMoriendi You should check L7's The Beauty Process: Triple Platinum? Based on your feelings towards L7's albums, I'm sure you'll like it. It's basically the same quality.
| Sowing No thank you! I don't know if I told you what I'm hoping for, but basically 8 - 12 sentences about the song, it's impact on the album, or any personal feelings about it. Basically whatever you want. Then email to sowingsputnik@gmail.com when you're finished.
| Sowing I don't know if you saw the thread but distance and meaning is yours now
| manosg Hey buddy! Take a look at this list and if you're finished let me know so I can rec you more stuff. http://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=737124
| Frippertronics since you asked for prog recs, check out my reviews for The Enid. Each one I've done so far comes with an album stream.
| TwigTW I just read your Elvis Presley review. You put effort into it and it shows. It is better than your Hounds of Love piece, but it still needs polishing. I guess you tried the Proofreading thread and got no response. If that happens again shoutbox me. I can proofread it for you--keep up the good work!
| ArsMoriendi I haven't, but I looked up his work. It's not really my thing.
| Snowdog808 I would sure love some recs. You can see by my ratings how I love fusion artists like Weather Report, Return to Forever, and Pat Metheny (especially with Lyle Mays).
| Snowdog808 Nice to see another major jazz appreciator here.
| RVAHC13 Took me a while to figure out your name is spelled wrong :P
| TwigTW I left some advice about your Kate Bush review in the proofreading thread . . . I hope it helps.
| mandan Fair enough. Just don't blame me if people start bashing you or anything and we're cool.
| mandan I suggest, as BM did in your last review, that you go to the forums and visit the review proofreading thread. They can give you suggestions on how to improve your reviews so that they are more suitable for Sputnik readers.
| mandan Ok, most of your reviews have had serious proofreading issues. Also, that last one talked too much about the band members, which isn't a good idea for a reviewer who's just getting started (there are some crazy ass reviews, but you have to be a pro to do those, so I suggest you play it safe).
| mandan Dude, just stop releasing reviews. Your approval rating is at 31%. You need serious mentoring on how to properly write a review before releasing another one.
| manosg Hey man, she's got some great tunes indeed. Out of my head, I'd say The Fog, Hounds of Love, Running Up That Hill, Cloudbusting, The Sensual World, Wuthering Heights, The Man with the Child in His Eyes, Egypt. So much great stuff.
| Judio! Sure thing dude: http://sugarysweetmachines.bandcamp.com/album/tours-of-the-bleak
| Judio! Yo muisc, did you ever get around to checking out my album? I'm still looking for feedback from people so that's why I ask.
| manosg Hey man, I listened to Delta Momma Blues and even though I'm not into country that much I found some good elements. As I'm not knowledgeable when it comes to that kind of music, I won't rate it but I really liked the final 3 tracks. Overall, it's heavy/depressing stuff though from the music, to the lyrics and the overall atmosphere but good rec man!
| manosg OK man, I'll start with Delta Momma Blues then. I'm not the biggest country fan around but I'll definitely give this album a chance.
| manosg Hey buddy! I've heard of him but not a full album. The track you linked me is good though. Which album of his should I listen?
| mandan Will check 'em sometime man, when I'm in a hard rock mood. I think JT gave me a couple recs some time back but I've slept hard on 'em. And yeah, I like me some GG. Octopus, IaGH and FH all rule hard.
| mandan Not that I remember man. All I know is that they were a German band loosely associated with the Scorpions through Michael Schenker if I remember well.
| Judio! Sweet, thanks bud. Jamming now m/
| spookynewghostfriend wow can we listen to this song may b https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IsXKMkDAMQ
| BMDrummer Have heard Saint Vitus and they are amazing. Especially their S/T and Born Too Late. Haven't heard Carcass though, any recs on where to start?
| BMDrummer Thanks for putting me on the best users list! Also, jam more Neurosis! Amazing band.
| Nocturnal Nah man Ive been super busy lately but I'm still planning on it and Ill let u know when I do.
| Nocturnal Ya my best friend actually showed me a lot of those artists. Il definitely check out the ones I haven't heard of that you listed.
| Nocturnal Will do man havent listened to that band since high school. Didn't dig it huge in the past but Im a lot more open minded so I'm sure il find something in it to enjoy.
| ale Nice ratings!
| laughingman22 thanks for the complement. I would love to see any of your artwork that you are willing to showoff

| SkaCali1991 Just hush your mouth and climb under the bedsheets with me
| Judio! Have not already. I've add those guys to my hit list, thanks!
| Judio! Oh, sweet. Really digging it so far, thanks man!
| manosg Thanks a lot man! I'll give those albums a listen when I have the time.
| manosg Sure dude, go ahead. I'm not that much into jazz so I'd like some beginner stuff. If you know any cool albums with Ginger Baker on drums, it would be cool too.
| manosg The Geoff Tate one sucks hahaha! The other one is certainly good but not as good as the last Fates Warning for me. Hope you like them man and let me know if you need anything more ;)
| manosg These are some great albums from great bands so if you like the albums you can delve more in their discog or find similar stuff. Hope you enjoy dude!
| manosg Pain Of Salvation - The Perfect Element, Part I, Sieges Even - The Art Of Navigating By The Stars, X Japan - Art of Life, Crimson Glory - Transcendence, Shadow Gallery - Tyranny, John Petrucci - Suspended Animation, Arch / Matheos - Sympathetic Resonance, Solaris - Nostradamus Book of Prophecies.
| manosg Hey dude, I'll be happy to rec you some stuff! I'll rec you a few albums and if you want more in the future, I'll be happy to rec you some more. Bear in mind that these are only progressive metal so if you need prog rock such as Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Yes and stuff like that, it's a whole different list. So, here we go: Queensryche - Operation: Mindcrime, Psychotic Waltz - A Social Grace, Savatage - Gutter Ballet, Liquid Tension Experiment - Liquid Tension Experiment, Tool - Lateralus,
| Phlegm oh fuk its chargers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
| manosg I just added their debut to my list, thanks for the rec!
| manosg hmmm, I'm afraid I'm not familiar with Magma. As far as Uriah Heep, I consider them very influential and recently I realized how important they were in the formation of prog and hard rock. There are a lot of 70s bands out there whose sound resembles that of Heep. My favorite album of theirs is Look at Yourself.
| manosg Actually yeah! I don't remember where or when but I have listened to this song and it's excellent! I don't know much about the artist though. I should probably check some of his albums. I see that you're in a folk mood lately so you might want to check Van Morrison if you haven't already.
| DecayingMajesty I know who immolation are lol, thats what my username is named afterImmolation- majesty and decay :D
| Muisc4Life26 i accidently press the x and it got rid of my list :( I worked really hard on it :(
| On a whole, the record?s only downfall is the nonchalant ?Water.? Although other selections on Give Me Rest admittedly take a few spins to reveal their nuances, the aforementioned track ? featuring guest vocals from A Hope for Home?s Nathan Winchell ? never leaves a memorable impression. Fortunately for fans of the band, ?Water? is the only forgettable track of the set as Give Me Rest gradually improves as the pieces pass by.
| The drumming is more than You? is very reminiscent of Jimmy
