    June 22 08:58 PM

    June 6 01:13 AM
  • InbredJed ya I believe it, that was a heartbreaker!
    May 28 12:02 AM
  • InbredJed oy there! Tough exit to Minnisota for your boys, but looking really great for next season if they can hold on to thier talent. I'm a big Landescog fan.
    May 27 11:20 PM
  • dannyboy89 Sure man, why not? What can you rec me?
    May 22 10:12 PM

    May 20 03:06 AM
  • dannyboy89 I'm guessing RiP is your fave thrash album, but overall you like Metallica's discog more.
    May 19 02:45 PM
  • dannyboy89 I see you have Floyd's TFC 2.5'd. Opinions seem to be quite split on that album in this site. What do you dislike about it?
    May 10 06:30 PM
  • dannyboy89 Fair enough. I see you have no Smashing Pumpkins rated, do you dislike 'em?
    May 9 01:44 PM
  • dannyboy89 If I didn't know better, I'd say you despise post-Layne AiC.
    May 8 04:49 PM

    April 25 03:56 PM
  • BigPleb Thanks for the feedback Dom m/
    April 22 10:59 AM
  • BMDrummer Yeah, I guess that's why the first EHG album is lower than all of your other ratings for them. The second side of My War though is pretty much proto-sludge metal.
    April 18 03:15 PM
  • BMDrummer I've noticed that you're obviously a big sludge fan, I was wondering if you've ever heard Black Flag's My War?
    April 18 02:04 PM
  • Inveigh s'all good homie, i haven't even gotten my ticket yet but i'm still thinking i'll go
    April 9 10:14 PM
  • Inveigh yo are you still going to godflesh next week?
    April 7 08:25 PM
  • BMDrummer Yeah, GTTR is amazing. One of their most traditionally heavy.
    April 5 02:20 PM
  • BMDrummer Do you have a personal favorite Neurosis record? Mine is probably TSIB or TEOES.
    April 5 12:50 PM
  • BigPleb some of the solos are a bitch too, especially Fredrik's.
    March 31 07:21 PM
  • BigPleb Are Opeth riffs generally easy to play?
    March 31 07:14 PM
  • BigPleb dude, its all about that ****ing riff around the 2:50 OMGGGGGGG

  • BigPleb terrible list, just terrible
    March 29 02:06 PM
  • Inveigh dude yeah comin back hard is the only one i've jammed thoroughly but it's awesome. as for other southern stuff.. check out z-ro - cocaine and z-ro - the life of joseph w. mcvey. geto boys - we can't be stopped is classic if you haven't heard it, as is ugk - ridin dirty. big krit - returnof4eva for more of a modern, outkasty sound
    March 25 10:58 PM
  • Inveigh hell yeah man, reminds me of my older brother. he always jammed comin back hard back in the day
    March 25 10:48 PM
  • Inveigh haven't heard the last two goodie mob albums either... only the first three. i've heard a few songs off seasons of da siccness, but no full albums from brotha lynch
    March 25 10:39 PM
  • Inveigh Age Against the Machine? i haven't. lol i couldn't get past the name
    March 25 10:34 PM
  • BMDrummer Same as what I saw. Luckily, in two years it will have it's 20th anniversary so maybe they will re-issue it on vinyl.
    March 23 09:41 PM
  • BMDrummer I've always meant to ask you, how much you want for Through Silver in Blood on vinyl? Just joking, but how much did it cost? From what I've found they are incredibly expensive.
    March 23 08:10 PM
  • Wizard You want an album that sounds like Horseback? Here ya go (Gog- Ironworks http://www.mediafire.com/download/szja8vu51pags8q/Gog - Ironworks(2).rar)
    March 23 07:34 PM
  • Relinquished I got the advanced copy of the new stoneburner so look out for it

  • InbredJed dam
    March 10 09:21 PM
  • InbredJed oh hey, at the risk of sounding like a total noob...how do I add italics and bold into reviews and comments?
    March 10 08:40 PM

    March 10 08:23 PM

  • Inveigh Yeah definitely a legendary venue. Not necessarily my favorite, but legendary nonetheless
    March 8 09:38 PM
  • Inveigh sh*t, not many. yeah i'll be joining you at that one, plus metro is a pretty cool venue. saw neurosis there last year.
    March 8 09:40 AM
  • Inveigh Cool man, I'm in the same boat. Most of my friends are hip hop heads, or go no more extreme than deftones and Alice in chains. I'll probably end up hitting that show too
    March 7 09:31 PM
  • Inveigh nice man, do you already have your ticket? i'm thinking of going, but i normally go to metal shows by myself haha
    March 6 10:53 PM
  • dannyboy89 I can more or less stand any user (and things do get heated up time and again on the site, but I've learned not to take it personally) but oltna's the exception. He just trolls way too much, I sometimes wish he got banned for a full month at least.
    March 6 10:30 PM
  • dannyboy89 Yeah, I guess it's best to leave it at that. There's no point in pointless arguing. What's your opinion of Testament?
    March 5 08:41 PM
  • dannyboy89 I do like AJFA to some extent, and about half of TBA, but for some time I've felt them to be overrated. It's okay though, my opinions on 'Tallica aren't really the most popular.
    March 5 06:00 PM
  • dannyboy89 Personally, I like Megadeth and Anthrax more. Recently, I've also come to prefer Slayer to them as well.
    March 5 05:39 PM
  • dannyboy89 I'm not a big fan of post-MoP 'Tallica. I heard Enter Sandman prob about 9 years ago, but jammed the albums for the first time about 3 years ago. I'll admit that only in he past months have I come to appreciate their records more. But the post-MoP stuff has been hard for me to get into. Having said that, KEA has never grown off me, so I've a special love for it. But yeah man, whatever.
    March 5 05:37 PM
  • InbredJed Ah s*** man, I got kicked out of that joint!Crazy times..you from Oregon or Washington or something?
    March 5 01:22 AM
  • dannyboy89 I take it you're not a big grunge fan, since AiC is the only group of that style in your club of 5's.
    March 1 10:06 PM
  • InbredJed yeah really great stuff, glad to be in the know.pre much anything you, Inviegh and Wizard like will be good enough for me.
    March 1 07:07 PM
  • InbredJed damn, that Horseback is some band. Great rec man!
    March 1 06:48 PM
  • Wizard The High Confessions - Turning Lead Into Gold With, Bodychoke - Cold River Songs... that's all I can think of off the top of my head at the moment. Too unique of a record to really compare it.
    March 1 08:31 AM
  • chemicalmarriage thanks man, yeah I have heard that one but not in a minute. Gonna jam shortly tho so thanks for the reminder. Really love Twilight Ritual, was the one that got me into the band. Gonna be jamming Lazarus Bird by Burst in a few too. Gonna be sick

    February 18 10:42 PM

    February 18 02:26 PM

    February 4 11:42 PM
  • Inveigh bro have you ever jammed this? i think it's right up your alley http://www.sputnikmusic.com/album/46444/Horseback-The-Invisible-Mountain/
    February 4 11:28 PM
  • Relinquished it's always a matter of demand. that's why neurosis travels the most in EU.
    February 4 11:12 PM
  • Relinquished I heard about that show a few weeks before making my move to sweden so it was all clutch for me
    February 4 11:10 PM
  • Relinquished yeah a few times, always an experience. saw them in their church, and when they filmed their 2011 dvd.
    February 4 11:07 PM
  • Relinquished honestly I'm glad I found my favourites early on, at this point they're all untouchable having gone with me through the important years in life. I could listen to them forever and ignore all new music from now on. time-wasting bulls*** aside, the internet really is wonderful though.
    February 4 11:00 PM
  • Relinquished yep, electric wizard, repulsion, and clutch are among them
    February 4 10:46 PM
  • Relinquished damn u old fart why is the youth wasted on the young. but really I use that video and my memories of them live as everyday influence. gonna see them at the temples fest, at this point i'm not keeping track of how many times i've seen them.

    January 10 08:27 PM

    January 4 04:59 PM
  • Inveigh nice, glad you dig em man. great beer drinking music, good times
    December 31 05:03 PM
  • dannyboy89 I take it AiC is your fave out of the Grunge Big 4?
    December 30 07:55 PM
  • ZombicidalMan lol, i see that the formatting got ****ed anyways. I'll let you know when I figure out Steve's chords. I'm close anyways. His Ebow part goes from the 5th fret to the 12th fret on A, sliding back and forth (I think anyways)
    December 30 04:03 PM
  • ZombicidalMan IntroG|-2-2-2-2-0D|-0-0-0-0-0TransitionD|-------5-5-5-5-5---------4-4-4-5-5-4-4A|-3-3-3-----------3-2-2-2------------------2
    December 30 03:24 PM
  • ZombicidalMan The chords without strumming pattern are this. D|-7-7--5-7A|-5/3--3-3A|-5/3--3-3That goes on with some flange later, then the other part is tremolo picked. Here's the notes (without correct duration obviously)D|-15-17-15-17-15-14-15-17-15-14Sorry to take up so much space. I'll probably write a proper tab later but hopefully you can play it with that info. Message me if you're lost on something (but it's pretty straightforward once you can play the parts)
    December 30 03:21 PM
  • ZombicidalMan Well I play Scott's part in AADGBE and Steve's in AADGAD. Steve uses an Ebow on the A string for ambience, then start playing some chords after (still figuring them out). But Scott's part in the intro is basically a powerchord, open D string and second on G string, and you play them both open on the last strum. Then the transition part has some delay and is on the A and D strings, 3rd fret and 2nd fret play the notes individually. The heavy part is when you need the extra A string.
    December 30 03:12 PM
  • Inveigh yeah that's their consensus best album probably
    December 30 12:20 PM
  • Inveigh honestly you can't go wrong with any of the first three, but I guess just go chronologically. The first three are more stoner and psychedelic than the later stuff, which is more straight hard rock. newest is their best in a long time. idk man i'm jamming Superjudge right now and loving it so who knows
    December 29 10:39 PM
  • Inveigh oh man, you should jam. their first 3 are stoner rock classics. if you like Kyuss, Sleep, Orange Goblin, etc definitely check them out
    December 29 10:18 PM
  • Inveigh bro do you like Monster Magnet? their newest album rules
    December 29 09:34 PM

    August 4 06:14 PM
  • Inveigh dude have you jammed the new carcass? if not you should, i think it's right up your alley in terms of dm
    August 3 09:45 PM

  • laughingman22 thanks for the feedback
    July 23 05:55 PM
  • Black Ink http://y.ahoo.it/GAbyJKhg That link should work. Yahoo doesn't let me make a password for some reason it just makes a link or invites people via email or social media.
    July 9 04:05 PM
  • Inveigh apparently if Rwake is involved it's just awesome
    June 30 02:47 AM

    June 29 11:11 PM
  • dannyboy89 Puerto Rico.
    June 21 06:41 PM
  • dannyboy89 I believe I saw you post on one of evilford's lists that they were your fave band. What's your country of origin?
    June 21 05:24 PM
  • dannyboy89 Are you a big Zeppelin fan?
    June 21 12:59 PM
  • slipnslide $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
    June 18 02:46 PM
  • dannyboy89 I once made a comment regarding Mustaine's songwriting influence on Metallica. My belief is that the first two 'Tallica albums ruled because he heavily influenced them. MOP was (or so I think), the first 'Tallica album with no sonwriting impact by Mustaine. That's just my view though.
    June 7 01:23 PM
  • SitarHero Not feeling the new album?
    May 28 06:45 AM
  • DirtyDan Ok I wasn't able to tell. I'm sure if we were talking face to face I would have got it. Its hard to tell in writing.
    May 23 08:07 AM
  • DirtyDan Actually technically Metallica took Mustaine's song he wrote and released it as The Four Horseman. Its the same song.
    May 22 11:45 PM
  • dannyboy89 Dude, it's incredible, but I've grown to love AiC. They made fantastic music, and BGWTB is pretty good too. It was definitely an acquired taste for me.
    May 18 12:22 AM
  • Inveigh word yea definitely give it a go if you see it around
    April 21 03:54 PM
  • Inveigh have you gotten any of the Stone Enjoy By releases in Denver? I'm drinking a 5-17-13 right now and it's unbelievable. the 12-21-13 and 2-16-13 were awesome too
    April 21 02:05 AM
  • CaptainDooRight cool man I will thanks agin
    April 17 12:11 AM
  • CaptainDooRight oh cool dude, thank you for that site, it's really cool and it gives you intant qoutes. I'll definitely be looking into. The prices are good too even if I sold 7"s for like $7 it would still be worth it. I would just need to find out how to estimate how many I should press so as not to spend too much into it. But this is a great starting ground. Thank you so much man.
    April 16 06:41 PM
  • CaptainDooRight cool, thanks bro I'm glad you enjoyed it. I wish I had the know how to do stuff like that. I'll have to look into it.
    April 16 03:57 PM
  • CaptainDooRight it sure is, have you had a chance to hear it
    April 16 01:25 PM
  • Inveigh nice, Denver is near the top of my list of US cities to visit
    April 15 11:51 PM
  • Inveigh nice I'll have to check with my bottle store guy to see if they distro to Illinois. DIPAs are probably my favorite style. Colorado has some awesome breweries.
    April 15 11:49 PM
  • Inveigh I have not... where are they located?
    April 15 11:44 PM
  • Inveigh yeah it was just released recently, chicago just got it this week. but yeah, burton baton and to a lesser extent aprihop (not to mention most of their other brews) blow it out of the water
    April 13 06:40 PM
  • Inveigh huh, I'm sure you will at some point if you see other Bells brews. It's their biggest selling seasonal. I just cracked a Dogfish Head 61 minute IPA. it's weird. brewed with grape must. almost tastes like wine... not sure I dig it.
    April 11 09:37 PM
  • Inveigh this is my first sixer of it this year, it's Bell's summer seasonal ale. it's good, but i remember it being a lot better. probably because I was a bit less of a hop head at this time last year... oberon basically tastes like a stella mixed with a blue moon, but a bit more hoppy and citrusy
    April 11 03:49 PM
  • Inveigh actually finished off the 4 pack of aprihop i bought. now sipping an oberon. I love both of Firestone's main IPAs, great beers
    April 11 12:34 AM
  • Inveigh it's ok, not as good as I was expecting. maybe it's just this year's batch. it has the signature malt flavor of dogfish's other IPAs, but I didn't taste much apricot or added hop bite. Basically like a slightly frutier 60 minute. burton baton is far superior in my book. what's on tap tonight?
    April 11 12:31 AM
  • CaptainHadouken Hell yeah dude. I always like some good rec's

    January 7 09:48 AM
  • Inveigh yea Opus Primum is pretty cool. if you're not into downloading (legally or otherwise), your best bet for finding their other stuff is to order it here: http://supernaturalcat.bigcartel.com/products?search=ufomammut
    January 7 09:47 AM
  • Inveigh you ever check Ufomammut?
    January 5 12:35 PM
  • Inveigh word, it's a tough call, but that one is probably my favorite of theirs
    December 27 09:03 PM
  • Inveigh I would say Snailking, Idolum and Eve are all pretty similar in quality (Snailking being the most sludgy, Eve the most post metal, and Idolum somewhere in between). For Amenra check out Mass IV or V. Both great bands
    December 27 08:55 PM
  • Inveigh might be a similar situation to ASTNS, but have you ever listened to Ufomammut?
    December 27 12:16 AM
  • Inveigh haha cool, don't think i've ever met a sputniker irl yet, though I feel like I've known Hans and Maniac forever. but yeah let me know if you're heading up here, we'll drink some brews and go to a neurosis show
    December 1 12:53 PM
  • Inveigh I work like 10 min from o'hare btw, I could conceivably just pick you up, but i realize that might be weird. you could also cab straight from o'hare to metro, it would probably run you like 30-35 though
    December 1 12:35 PM

  • Graveyard well the guy was probably in his late 40s and looked like he did a lot of headbanging in his lifetime so i guess he needed the extra cash. But I got charged 45 bucks for that TOG album and in comparison to the prices on ebay n s*** you were telling me about i think i got a sweet deal ;)
    May 1 04:00 PM
  • Graveyard lol yea i was extremely lucky bro, my friend works at the local record store up here and someone traded in some neurosis vinyl and he snagged them for me before someone else got their dirty little hands on it
    May 1 03:50 PM
  • Graveyard yea, along with TSIB, Souls at Zero, Times of Grace, and The Eye of Every Storm. They all sound fantastic on vinyl, the sounds of the guitars and bass really does shine a lot compared to the CD versions
    May 1 02:43 PM
  • Graveyard yes, how about yourself?
    May 1 02:26 AM
  • Graveyard def agree that raze the stray is one of many beloved neurosis tracks
    April 29 07:11 PM

  • AngelofDeath Sweet. I knew they were re-releasing those two albums but wasn't sure when. Would really like to have both that and Enemy of the Sun. Just spent so much money recently on records, though, haha. Hopefully I can snag the both the colored versions before they sell out.
