 | CaptainDooRight I truly am trying to educate myself. I was raised a Christian and still am. And I'm sure you know what the Bible teaches, but it makes that some, especially in this day and age have difficulties with certain things. It could happen to anyone. So the more I educate myself, the more I can understand. I want to see things from God's perspective. Surely he knows what each person is going through and so who is man to say something that does not originate from the Bible.

| Deviant. I love her persona, and the beats are fantastic. There is no cohesive theme to the LP, unlike say the Banks LP, but it's an amazing collection of "pop" tunes

| Deviant. Fairly recent, yeah? I guess it has its share of cheesy tracks, but they're almost primarily the singles (except for Left Right, which is all kinds of horrible). But it also has some great tunes on it - Hold Tight London, Surface To Air etc. I guess it's just more of a fun album for the duo, just letting loose. Kinda reminds me of a less zany Basement Jaxx. It's just dance music I guess, dancing with a smile on your face

Also sorry about that whole "and" thing, I've always been told not to do it, and my own reviews have been criticised for the same thing. Glad you took the pointers with good graces.

I said that they try to be different in their short songs but none of the short songs are different and that when they get a chance to lengthen an idea, instead of it being the same sound for 3 minutes actually flushes out most of their ideas. So i criticized their lack of variation on their short titles which consume most of the album. No?

 | WatchItExplode I do. It is certainly a step-up from the recent output. Still moments of tedium and 311-by-numbers tracks, but there seems to be some actual effort to shake things up a bit to surprise and engage the listener. Still, the best moments are like negatives or b-sides of their classic material. Not quite there, but close enough to remind us of where they've been.

| Deviant. Kruder and Dorfmeister, DJ Cam, Kid Loco, Daddy G, Four Tet, Kode9, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Scuba, Photek, Maya Jane Coles and John Talabot's are probably the best entries in the series but truthfully there really hasn't been a terrible entry in the catalogue

| Hyperion1001 haha thanks dude. the opposition to adding me was probably deserved cause i was having trouble coming to terms with the fact that a lot of my old friends from here were gone and i was kind of "out of the loop" so to say, and i had a period where i reacted poorly to it. but ive found a really cool group of people here who are smart, love talking about music, and have opinions i respect so thats really changed my attitude lately, and i hope it shows up in what i can contribute from here on out.

| Metalstyles I still (generally, unless I'm reeeeeally excited about the album and can't hold back haha) don't post reviews right after I've finished writing them, because nine times out of ten I'll change something about them the day after, and nine times out of ten those changes are for the better. I have a review lying around right now, for example, that is basically in a finished state, but I'll still look over it tomorrow before posting.

| Metalstyles That's a good point about counterintuitivity (not sure if that's a word but if not, coining the term now). It does seem to be that, while the ideas may be right and genuine as you write them down based on how you're feeling at a given moment, structurally you can only improve what you've written when coming back to it. At least, that's how it seems to me.

Still, if I may, imo the last sentence of the first para doesn't really work because it sounds both too vague ("Really, this record is dripping in everything it incorporates" - as a reader who hasn't heard the album this tells me absolutely nothing and it sounds kinda pretentious) and is contradictory (I may be a bit pedantic here, but if something is "far removed", that means there is no trace of said phenomenon/thing).
