The one thing that gets under my skin about reviewing is the constant re-listening of a song. Anytime I review something, I am completely sick of it by the time I finish the review.

| LilLioness I have stalled out on the one I was working on the weekend after the Dilute review. I want it to be a 4.5, but I am struggling with the structure of it. a) no one has heard of the band (it wasn't in the database until I added it recently) and b) it is really hard for to talk about hip hop and electronic competently, because they aren't genres that I understand fully. And I am trying to keep the language distinct from the last one.

| LilLioness If I may respond to your Fallujah shout, for me it is I think the techniques they employ. The melodies on the first track are Mnemic level effervescent and the coarse nature of it doesn't strike me as being forced (even though it likely is) as a lot of deathcore and brutal genres.

There's definitely something more personal yet casual about them which for some reason gives them more credibility than your standard written review. Good luck with that endeavor! | toxin. Thanks! I had been considering it, but there were a number of reasons why I pulled my application. The biggest was probably that I couldn't imagine myself reviewing for the sake of reviewing. Right now, I either do it to try to sell something I like (e.g. my last two reviews), talk about music personal to me (the one before that), or keep my writing skills sharp with a few quick ones (the two before that). I don't know how you guys write so much and have it still feel fresh, but I can't do that.
