 | IpodMastery pretty sure it's a grower too, I was pleasantly surprised, it was the artwork that made me listen to it
 | IpodMastery Nice, best of luckies with your exams though dude, you'll nail em'. I'm about to make a 2013 black metal list dude so if you get a couple of sec's take a look and tell me which one's you want and I'll throw the links at you
 | Willie You can if you want. Sometimes it makes it look more legitimate if you've included our address in the e-mail so that the label knows that you're not just making it all up.
 | bloc And good second point too. I can't deny not saying the same thing to others. Execution of a sound may be the most important thing in music these days.
 | bloc Haha, funny you mention about growers. I've never been too patient for albums claimed to be growers. If I'm not digging it after 2 (3 max) listens, I'll end up discarding the entire thing (or all the songs I don't like). I don't see myself ever changing this method tbh. Although you probably knew all about this already ;)
 | bloc Tbh, I'm finding it hard to find something that is truly fresh this year. We both know there have been some fantastic albums released this year but still...Although, I think this year will be much better than last year in terms of new albums.
 | bloc I agree that Hacride is more than capable of pushing the envelope as opposed to sticking to a typical poly-rhythmic formula that so many bands are doing these days, but the new album just sounds too safe.
 | bloc Glad you are liking Hord. I only heard a bit of it on Youtube but immediately thought you might appreciate it more than I. As for the new Dagoba, I listened to the new track The Great Wonder and I just could not get into the vocals at all. And you know I couldn't get into the new Hacride, but I have a feeling it's because their sound is not as unique as it was a few years ago.
 | greg84 Thanks. I dig it. It sounds really cool. I've also been really busy lately, and I've got a couple of reviews to write. So, I guess I'll pass on reviewing it for now, but definitely will give this record a whirl when it comes out.
 | Willie Edit the first comment of your review to link to the album stream.
 | Willie Upload them one by one. I'll tell you how in the staff forum.
 | Willie Saturday through Saturday.
 | Willie Hello Trey,
First of all thank you for the review. It's much appreciated.
Yes you can stream the album closer to the release date. If you can just let me know when you stream it so we can help advertise it at our web pages.
Cheers!
James
 | Voivod All of them actually, but check Acrimonious and Acherontas first.
 | Voivod As of late, there is a raid of really good black metal albums from Greece. If you have time, check the last albums from Acrimonious (their debut also rocks), Acherontas, Aherousia and Enshadowed.
 | Voivod I hear you, the album is indeed awesome and a most unexpected surprise overall. Most unfortunately, though, my free time is constantly decreasing due to real life issues that will keep me chained at least until the end of the year. I have the Purson promo to finish, then some reeeaaallly long overdue requests and then we will see.
 | slipnslide hey metalstyles http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcJWjKFZTLM
 | greg84 Hmm. I guess you need to upload a picture that has a proper size. 600x400 seems to be ideal.
 | greg84 Perhaps with such a long interview as your latest one, it'd be better to upload an audio track and only cite the most important extracts. Just a thought.
 | bloc I hear you. As for Hacride, their new new vocalist is weak compared to the previous one. I doubt much will change over time but we'll see.
 | bloc No problem, but a 320 kbps snob, eh? ;) As for your rating of 4, I'll never understand it!
 | bloc Haha have you listened to it yet? Personally, I was really disappointed. It's pretty generic sounding.
 | BassDemon333 I think you'll like the new Zombie record. It doesn't have AS much lasting value as his first two solo records but its a hell of a lot better than his last two, which I know you and I both were very disappointed with lol.
 | Tyrael Damn you got staffed **** yeah more metal on staff emslash
 | bloc http://echoesofdemise-v3.blogspot.ca/2013/04/hord-book-of-eliot-2013-industrial.html
 | bloc Check out Hord - The Book Of Eliot. It's a mix of groove and industrial and death metal.
 | Crysis You should have the option to add a picture title or a caption or something when you add it in wordpress
 | Voivod Yeah, I've listened to it, the new material breathes better than that of "n0n" imo.
 | Voivod Hi Magnus I've found a stream for the new The Amenta record - http://www.terrorizer.com/2013/03/20/the-amenta-flesh-is-heir-review/. If you want, place the link on your first comment in the review.
 | Willie The Amenta is available or interviews too.
 | Willie They want your phone number for him to call. E-mail it to us at: sputnikreviews@gmail.com
 | Willie Check the interview request thread for times.
 | IpodMastery http://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?listid=120758
 | Maniac! Woah you finally made staff. congrats
 | Crysis Always had a dislike for them. I've heard 3 or 4 of their records and thought they ranged from painfully mediocre to just plain bad. Not my style of melodic death.
 | FALLENSTARZERO I'm a producer/composer of dark ambient metal music and have about fourteen or fifteen albums currently but I'm in a constant state of creating something very unusual. |
 | pizzamachine yeah I'm working on a review now. I always enjoy reading your reviews
 | AtomicWaste Yeah, man, it's always good to spend time with the gf, but sometimes you've just got to venture out and do stuff on your own/with your own set of friends. It's what keeps relationships healthy in a lot of cases.
 | pizzamachine That's pretty much it. :/ Just playing a lot of video games for now lol
 | pizzamachine If I can I'll find a job as a Teacher's Assistant, and if I can't I'll just keep looking for any job that pays.
 | AtomicWaste I hear ya, man. Just make sure you find some little ways to de-stress and look for a good window between your studies to do something fun. It can help to know how much time you need and what you're going to do, so you should be able to sneak some research in between stuff. But balancing life that way is ALWAYS a pain.
 | pizzamachine was just a kitchen job at camp, nothing special
 | AtomicWaste You can always just buy a keg or two, too haha. Sometimes that's the craziest sort of week.
 | AtomicWaste Look around online or drive around and see if there's any weird s*** anywhere within a decent distance. Not too long ago, some friends and I traveled to some abandoned tunnels and hiked through 'em and had our own brought lunches and stuff. There's lots of weird stuff like that all over the place that can be fun to go to.
 | pizzamachine I've been trying to get a job, and man it's hard. I had s***ty internet for a while so that's why I haven't been around here much.
 | AtomicWaste Just the normal work, games, and writing. Had a good group over last weekend for St. Patty's and I've been out and about with both friends from home and from college, so I really can't complain. Last two weekends have actually been some of the best in a long while. How's everything by you?
 | IpodMastery Cheers, Ill find it in the morning, (currently 10pm here)
 | IpodMastery You know i like hands on, and this is something i can do without upsetting the higher powers, do you delegate?
 | IpodMastery Hey dude, you giving up the reigns on the last.fm contrib page? Hands up?
 | breakingthefragile I don't think I congratulated you on getting staff yet. I guess we won't have worry about who gets dibs on the new Sevendust album now huh? ;) Seriously though man, congrats.
 | Gyromania so happy to see you staffed =] after all those years as a contributor, you definitely deserved it man.
 | IpodMastery Id put it on the same shelf as the We Lost The Sea record i reviewed. Those vocals/screams are pretty intense.
 | AtomicWaste Cool, man. I'll keep an eye out and if there's ever anything in particular you want me to look at, just let me know.
 | IpodMastery Well i honestly think you need to work on that confidence of yours, i knew it was coming and obviously others thought so too. Hence the promotion. Just remeber me when you gaze down from the heavens.
 | IpodMastery Big ol congrats Greybeard, tell the truth, you knew it was ccoming : )
 | Ponton ugg finally but lo, stay away from chan's tonics
 | AtomicWaste Cheers, man. Honestly, the feeling's mutual. I remember reading your stuff as a contrib before I got really active on here, so it's kind of cool for me to see you get a seat on the top of the mountain. Plus you seem like a cool dude and you've got an awesome attitude in addition to being a great writer who's passing a language barrier. So yeah, big props to you, dude. Big props.
 | SgtPepper I very much look forward to working with a great writer like yourself. Cheers.
 | SgtPepper Hey Magnus, just wanted to congratulate you on the new promotion. Very well-deserved.
 | Crysis Welcome to the world of staff man, couldn't think of a more deserving person.
 | bloc Haha, no problem. Check it out on Youtube first though, who knows, it might be ass. Btw, that blog I linked you is fantastic. Bookmark it if you're digging its posts.
 | bloc I haven't heard it yet but it's some new industrial sounding death metal you may or may not like. Link is http://echoesofdemise-v2.blogspot.ca/2013/03/noein-infection-erasure-replacement.html
 | Willie Welcome back. Jom has been trying to reach you.
 | IpodMastery Lol, it was a lead into "the new Six Feet Under" is not bad : ]
 | IpodMastery Hey Greybeard : ] How goes your take on accesible dm?
 | Wizard Please do cause most of this site doesn't know what the hell is up with metal.
 | Wizard Just listening to the album now and the intergrated acoustics are what make the album so damn powerful.
 | Wizard Wait until they unleash their new album, I think coming out this year.
 | AtomicWaste Hey man, that's a cool choice of a major in my eyes (and I bet it has a really interesting history and set of literature to go with it). You'll probably end up enjoying it more if that's the reason you're doing it, too. There's definitely nothing wrong with having things mapped out, either. Sometimes it makes it all the easier to forge ahead.
 | Wizard And your thoughts on that album?
 | AtomicWaste It's alright. I really like interacting with the kids and it's a lot of fun a lot of the time. I don't know if I'd ever move to full-time - there's just too much bureaucracy and time spent planning. I'd probably enjoy being a professor, but there's too much money involved in hitting that mark. At current I'm actually evaluating options to go back to school for computer science haha.
 | AtomicWaste Well, thanks man. I'm just glad I can help with a little feedback. And yup, I'm a substitute teacher (but my discipline is in teaching English to kids from grades 7 through 12). It's a crazy life.
 | AtomicWaste Yeah, don't worry about that point (has/have) - perfectly fine to keep that. And you're a really good writer, man - I can see that anything I even mentioned was usually just grammar/semantics things. When it comes to expressing things I think you hit the mark very precisely and at a level way above any other non-native speaker I've ever seen.
 | Wizard Because I've been listening to Soilwork all week, I though I would let you in on a secret that this site should fap about more. Seriously, this is one of the greatest melodic dm album you will ever here. http://www.sputnikmusic.com/review/30454/Gwynbleidd-Nostalgia/
 | AtomicWaste Hopefully all that crap makes sense. Let me know if there's anything I can further clarify and thanks for taking things well - really I just aim to help (otherwise I wouldn't waste my time doing it haha)
 | AtomicWaste (when no tense variant is needed) and it's honestly just defined as "a variant of 'amid.'" So it's style and simplicity more than anything, I guess. Again, another thing you don't have to necessarily take! 6. It's doable and you do it right a lot of other times. It may actually be tense, because you have the action as active ("pounding") and the sound of war drums isn't expressed in an active way. If it were "pounding the kit as if he were sounding war drums," I think that'd be fine, too.
 | AtomicWaste Essentially it's in the "have/has" in that one, because that rolls it into a participial (I think? I've never been good with the exact terms for tenses, though I can recognize the difference) as opposed to saying "they got pie for dinner" (which still indicates past and is proper). I hope that makes sense? 5. I guess "amidst" works, but my spell checker keeps kicking it as improper. It's just simpler to say "amid" and is more widely expected/understood, while "amidst" sounds like a tense variant
 | AtomicWaste 3. Excluding the "that" is a colloquial thing that people do in speech, but it's not proper in writing. It's a really nitpicky thing, but that's the truth of it. 4. "Got" seems to be a weird word. In the context of "They have got to get me a sandwich" it means they need to do something (future), but "They have got me a sandwich" is improper (probably because got, in this case, indicates future) when "They have gotten me a sandwich" is proper (because "have gotten" indicates past).
 | AtomicWaste No problem, man. As with any critique, it's up to you to choose what to take from it. As far as band have/has goes: yeah, you can do it either way. I was just suggesting "have" as I think it might sound a little better. 2. Punctuation always goes inside quotes (at least by US rules and not weird British rules), even in titles (this is true for poetry, song titles, short story titles, everything).
 | AtomicWaste Hey dude - I saw you've been looking for some critique on your stuff, so I looked through and added some on your Rotting Christ review. Take a look when you get a chance - I hope you'll find it helpful. Cheers.
 | bloc Haha, I'll keep that in mind the next time you say I'll like an album and I don't ;) But anyway, it sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders, which is important in this day and age.
 | bloc And I'm glad to see you already have a plan for your near future. I honestly think figuring out what you want to major in or whatever in uni/college is one of the toughest decisions to make, especially when you don't know what the future holds or if you'll even like the subject.
 | bloc I was actually going to bring up job prospects with your current program, but I hesitated because I thought you might take offense. It might sound silly, but I didn't want to unintentionally imply that there will be barely any jobs in your field (hell, there might be a zillion for all I know). Regardless, I believe you are making a very good choice by studying English afterwards.
 | bloc Thanks, I'm 23 but I feel a bit impatient in the sense that I want to start living, you know? Even if it means joining the "rat race" haha. Good luck with your studies btw, you have picked an interesting subject that's for sure. As for the military, what's that about? You want to serve or is it something you have to do as part of your studies? Just curious.
 | Jom Hey dude, I saw your post a couple days ago. Did you want me to audit reviews that you've selected, or do you want me to randomly pick reviews to evaluate? I'd prefer that you get to make that choice. Cheers.
 | bloc Didn't we just talk in a thread? Ha, I'm kidding. Life's been good but I would say the only downside is finding a full time job these days. I just applied for a co-op position over the summer so I am hoping to get that. How are you doing?
 | Voivod "daimona" or "daimonia" in ancient greek were, among others, those new ideas or obsessions that came to reside inside the minds and bodies of individuals and urged them to go to war, write poems, build ships, become mathematicians, engineers etc.
 | Voivod The precise translation means "according to one's inner demons" and it means that an individual should pursuit his/her various endeavors according to his/her personal demons. It is similar to Crowley's "do what thou wilt", but i reckon he must had taken it from the conduct of ancient Greeks.
 | Voivod Truth is I had considered doing a review for the new Rotting Christ, but then I saw you enrolling to do it and unconsciously I abandoned the plan. You can write a review for it if you want, there's plenty of new albums out there that need a review.
 | IpodMastery They must have some hard decisions to make. Takin' them a while
 | IpodMastery My votes for the contrib to staff, is just three: Hernan, TheStyleOfMetal - Mr. Magnus ; ], and Jacob
 | IpodMastery YOu staaff yet, thought they would've started the announcements by now lol?
 | IpodMastery http://www.sputnikmusic.com/review/55178/The-Fall-of-Every-Season-Amends/ Dude, this is me heeding your words.
 | Voivod A question about the google doc: Will everyone have access to it through the link you just sent me?
 | fish. I just like getting cultured, especially in places people often forget about, and Estonia always looked pretty gorgeous as well. I'm not really bothered by typical tourist attractions. Anyway I find the UK boring now. Don't get it when people rave about it. Only problem is that I've always wanted to go on a tour around mainland Europe, especially in the east, and Estonia is a little bit out of the way if I wanted to do that and go through the BalkansYeah of course I support the right team ;)
 | Voivod Magnus, I saw the document, it's a good idea. We can also just declare the release and the publishing date at the contribs forum with a simple post, so every contrib will be aware who's covering what. This is just an idea, though.
 | fish. Wow, you're from Estonia? I've been interested in possibly visiting Estonia
 | turnip90210 Applied. Submitted three diverse reviews, both in terms of album rating and musical style. Hope this goes well... and thank you for your kind words, I wasn't aware anybody gave a damn. I was writing the reviews mainly for myself.
 | turnip90210 Thanks for the heads up. I think my taste is potentially eclectic enough, I'm not just limited to one genre. How do I go about this contributor spot thing?
 | Willie Yeah. The Mechina album was way cool when it first started, and I thought that it was great that they were experimenting with their sound... but then it turned out to be only one experiment.
 | Nagrarok The Agalloch influence is really obvious, but it's a great album. Nice timing btw, I've just begun catching up on some 2012 releases ;)
 | Nagrarok I have enjoyed some atmospheric black metal, so I'll remember to give it a listen.
 | IpodMastery Then do what everyone else does when coming to Aust. Plead for asylum lol
 | IpodMastery Can't pass up the nostalgia of a Phil Collins cover though ; b
 | IpodMastery I know what you mean, its like that All That Remains review I did, I knew exactly where it was going but you know, it happens. As for nonpoint _ the album didn't have as much as the previous records but had enough to maintain itself.
 | IpodMastery Thanks man, just threw that at you because I know our takes in metal will occasionally run parallel at times : )
 | D41V30N http://www.sputnikmusic.com/soundoff.php?albumid=112596 - Please review this.
 | linchpin313 I know what you mean, there is a complete mismatch between the singer's style and the music... both quite brilliant on their own but... I've never heard such a mismatch in my life... almost like a DJ mashed 2 different things together but I'll wait until I get the album.
 | linchpin313 hey man, you plan on reviewing the new Nonpoint or is it a pass?
 | bloc That must be the reason why I haven't heard a decent release at all this year ;) P.S. I am really liking that Neurotech album. It's a lot less metal and much more female vocal/melody but there are still those cyber vocals a la Sybreed.
 | bloc Haha, I KNEW I'd be the only one who didn't like it...
 | greg84 Hey dude. Check out my review of the new Danko Jones album.
 | bloc Here's a cyber metal one for you, I haven't checked it out yet but some previews sound pretty cool. Neurotech - Decipher Vol. 2
 | bloc Will do. Hope you enjoy it.
 | bloc Or wait, there is one that came out recently. Check out Sybreed's new one God Is An Automaton. Forgot about it because I ended up not liking it too much. Willie likes it, however, so take that as you wish haha.
 | bloc Damn, I ain't got anything for you : ( I haven't heard a single good industrial album in many many months now. This year isn't the best for it I guess.
 | IpodMastery Not really a new release but check out 'success will write apocalypse across the sky' some modern straight up death. Could go either way. Let me know how you go : )
 | IpodMastery Yeah but she doesn't cook much prefers to be on the receiving end of a good meal. Which is perfectly fine cause I always like an opportunity to show off
 | IpodMastery Solid man,we all need to be move forward at some point I'm kinda doing the same thing (just 20) out with my girl and I'm halfway through an apprenticeship (chef). It's good to find people with common interest whereever you go.
 | MO Hey buddy. Yea no doubt right here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=An3IQL7LfZU. For some reason linking to youtube in the shoutbox never works so if it doesn't just type in Apotheosis full album in youtube and it should be the first link. It's solid stuff, one man project. Some of the keys can come off as a bit corny but it's done tastefully. hope you like it :)
 | Hyperion1001 Saw your comment on my Derketa review, here's some actually good stuff to check out from this year in the vein of that album. Coffins - March of Despair : Gorephilia - Embodiment of Death : Anhedonist - Netherwards : And of course the new Hooded Menace album when it comes out.
 | Omaha That makes perfect sense, man. Thanks a ton. :]]
 | Omaha Hey dude - I'm aware you're the Last.Fm Contrib. group leader, and so I wanted you ask you about a question I have. It doesn't appear that my plays are showing up in the group statistics - am I doing something wrong?
 | BassDemon333 Thanks a lot man, I tried but I guess I got some improving to do before I can obtain the status haha. I appreciate the support!
 | Irving I think you'll fit the bill nicely =) An abdication request will be on its way shortly. Lead our valiant Contributors on to glory, my good friend.
 | Irving Yo Magnus, how's it going? (and how's the arm, incidentally?) Anyway, it looks like we'll be needing a new leader for the Contribs Last.fm group pretty soon - would you like the job? It isn't much work, really - just gotta make sure that everyone in the group is legitimately a Contrib (lol) and galvanize them for ideas/write-ups come year-end =) And hell, we need to have a leader that actually slays for once. Not some indie music-loving pansy like me or Sea ahahah.
 | Ulsufyring hey dude, totally hypothetical probably, but let's say I were to visit Estonia, would you be willing to show me around?
 | Willie Ha ha. Bloc called him a Metalstyles clone and I was trying to cause bloc some trouble.
 | Willie It is decent, but it's not really Spineshank.
 | greg84 Yeah. I was surprised but I guess I shouldn't have been. Still, it's not that big of a deal at all.
 | Crysis Yeah I am going to review it because I had Willie get the promo for me extra early, so I'm kinda bound to do it. Please still review it, though, because I'd like a second opinion - especially considering I'm having a tough time really writing about it.
 | Maniac! Not sure what your policy is for adding sputbros on facebook, but I sent you an invite.
 | Maniac! sounds like you're living it up, haha
 | Maniac! Hahaha. My weakness is soda. No matter how much I swear off the stuff, I always come back to it.
 | Maniac! I'm the same way. I bust my ass all week but can't get below 86k. A lot of it is muscle, but I still have a gut that won't go away.
 | Maniac! I need to start lifting again, my muscles are developing nicely now too.
 | Maniac! Haha I'm still overweight, but I am working on running 1.5 miles in 11 minutes. (2.4 kilos)
 | Maniac! thanks dude. and yeah I think you guys may do things differently. I'm 18 and graduate this year
 | Maniac! haha. Just finished high school, actually. Getting ready to move to a new state with the family, too. Other than that just work, judo, and music. Also been working on this: http://wiredreviewers.com/
 | bloc Glad you liked it. As for some others, try Tyrant Of Death - Re Connect and Black Light Discipline - Against Each Other.
 | Crysis I got the promo from Willie, who got it through the label.
 | Crysis hahaha wish I could, but they are watermarked
 | Irving Hey man. Just stopping by to say that you rule. And apparently your hand's in a cast now, so get well soon (also, if I'm reading your messages with greg84 right, the reason for the injury sounds painful as hell huhu).
 | bloc Hmm, you might actually really like the new self titled Neosis album. They are a mixture of math metal with some programming and industrial going on.
 | TheSpirit Alrighty, so I don't really have any death 'n' roll unfortunately but there have been two blackened death metal albums that have stuck out to me this year which are Proclamation - Nether Tombs of Abaddon and Pseudogod - Deathwomb Catechesis.
 | greg84 Don't say. You have to live up to your nickname. Too much headbanging?
 | greg84 Your left hand's in a cast? What happened to you?
 | greg84 I'd still like to get rid of the number...but I guess it's impossible. Yes. The site is addictive especially after posting a review. What I like about Sputnik is that users actually interact with each other on here and often comment, unlike on other music oriented sites.
 | greg84 Yeah. Frankly speaking, when I created an account here, I didn't think I'd stay this long. Hence, I didn't think about it so much. Changing it is not a good thing either 'cause your followers would start to get disoriented...
 | greg84 Yeah. But, I wish I'd picked out something more imaginative as my user name. I could pretend to be a youngster then. ;)
 | greg84 I specialized in linguistics and translations: my MA Thesis dealt precisely with the translation of Pixar movie The Incredibles. But, I prefer teaching right now because it's so easy. LOL I usually work with adult people rather than kids, which is also a plus. Youngsters in Poland are unbearable.
 | greg84 Awesome man. I'm a private school teacher/translator myself. The studies like that aren't really hard providing you know the language well, which you obviously do. Good luck!
 | greg84 What do you study mate? You got me curious.
 | Voivod I myself come from Greece, so i know first hand what you mean ;-).
 | Voivod I thought it that Columbus egg paradigm was frequently used to describe the situation where one man or a group of people take up a task that is beyond his/her/their capabilities and pull it off nicely, despite some setbacks.
 | Voivod hey man, i own you an apology with regard to your comment about the Columbus egg in the Mekong Delta review. I thought you were ironic and that's why i wrote about well intended cynicism on your behalf in a next comment.
 | taylormemer It was a decision made quite recently. No problems.
 | taylormemer In response to your actual question, it is because Sputnik "likes" them better. i.e. if a user searches for the group using brackets, they'll end up with an error page. Using parentheses on the other hand negates this issue. I'd rather use brackets myself, but if it means easier navigation then so be it.
 | taylormemer Firstly make sure you adhere to ISO standard 3166-1 alpha-3 country codes. Don't make them up; not that you did, but just so you know for the future. Also make sure they are capiltalised.
 | ZippaThaRippa I lied, we didn't end up going yesterday because of some reason I forget but I'm on the boat to Talinn now. We were visiting Finland over spring break. So yeah, I'll be in your country today. You could see me and never know it.
 | ZippaThaRippa So I'm going to be in talinn on thursday for the day. Just thought you should know
 | Nagrarok Probably won't be as active as I used to be, but I'll be checking in regularly.
 | Gyromania Magnus, my friend.. you won't believe what's been going on with me. I'll message you sometime on MSN and fill you in. I'd still love to offer you that writing position btw, if you're still interested.
 | greg84 I don't usually follow any lists like that, but that's really cool. I'd be mighty surprised if it made into the staff list though. haha.
 | LepreCon Ah I can sympathise a bit, some of my friends have left as well, they're gone teaching in Dubai although they're coming back during the Summer and I will be joining them afterwards! Good to hear you're keeping well otherwise, and keep your eyes peeled for a LepreCon review very, very soon! =D
 | LepreCon Hey 'Styles long time no speak! Ah man things have been crazy with regards my college and working life, I haven't had much time for music at all! I'm on a two- week break from both college and work now though so hopefully I can put out a review or two in that time! I've been on Sputnik a lot less for the same reasons so my activity's been quite low! How are you keeping yourself?

 | Crysis Picture from a photographer who contributed artwork to the Abyssal album I have recently rated. She has some incredible photographs, check them out at http://www.behance.net/kristinagentvainyte.... sadly they aren't hi-res but they are still brilliant.
 | Crysis The popular bands are popular for a reason: they're good ;) Unfortunately I don't have much in the way of obscure folk metal simply because I've never really delved into the genre and what I have heard that isn't "mainstream" is generally pretty bad.
 | Crysis No problem, it certainly deserved one.
 | Powerban http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2JamTUNe2p8 there is a link to my main vision actually. so good.
 | Powerban I'm in a band but they're all lazy. It really sucks when you have to teach the bassist and the other guitarist how to play. It's worse when they like to play metalcore always. I'm trying to make a post-metal/screamo band with clean/harsh vocals without trudging along. Amenra is close to the sound I have wanted with their song - Aorte
 | Powerban avatar is pretty damn awesome, thanks for that. i love that kinda s***. ghost brigade is close to how i've envisioned my own band to be, but it doesn't quite hit the highs and lows i have planned.
 | Powerban I still jump on here from time to time. Life has just been pretty busy for me at the moment. I haven't really had the time to look up much music, but trust me I still lurk around. If you have any recent recs I'll check them out though, I tend to agree with most of your opinions on bands.
 | greg84 Thanks. I'll try to review it over the weekend. I've never heard Avatar. The film is awesome though. Death metal and hard rock can surely blend nicely, I guess.
 | greg84 I may check them out when in need of some groove metal. Thanks for the rec.

 | greg84 Smokescreen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qA95p4UmudI If you like this you should dig the whole album.
 | greg84 All right. So let me know if you want to review it before the weekend. Thanks for the pos. I'm quite sure Therapy? is my favorite band.
