  • SowingSeason Yeah man that's admirable; lots of people have to scrape to make ends meet when they first start out on their own. I still am, 3 years later.
    July 24 01:28 PM
  • SowingSeason Well it was (and is) the only teaching job I can find. PA is a huge producer of teachers, and we're also giving some of the largest budget cuts to schools of any state in the US...so huge influx of teachers every year plus decreasing employment slots equals me working in the McDonalds of education! : )
    July 24 08:42 AM
  • SowingSeason I teach at an alternative behavioral school for high school kids who have been expelled from the inner city. A "normal" teaching job would be far less dreadful...
    July 24 08:34 AM
  • SowingSeason Awesome man! It's always been a dream of mine to run a record store...I could rec customers all the coolest and most happening indie and folk albums. I'm glad things are looking up for ya. For me I'm great right now because I'm on summer break, but I go back to school Aug. 14 (because I'm a teacher) so my life will get crazy again. Getting married next summer so that's happening.
    July 23 03:17 PM
  • SowingSeason Yeah, I can definitely see it killing live. It's just so much fun. To each his own though, I'm just glad you were willing to give it a chance! How've you been?
    July 23 10:33 AM
  • Jom We don't have that toolbar installed in our Wordpress (only mx can install stuff), so the easiest thing might be to create it in a Word/Excel document in a 2-column format, and then save it as an image. Alternatively, you can try aligning the text left and right, but that might get awkward.
    July 7 12:50 PM
  • Crysis I'll have to dig through my library later but tbh I'm rather sparse on actual folk metal. Most of it is like viking type stuff that tilts more toward death metal
    July 3 06:11 AM
  • Crysis Yeah, I remember thinking their last record was decent.
    July 2 06:23 AM
  • Crysis Haven't heard the new Equilibrium so can't comment on that, but as for folk metal try Crimfall. Early Ensiferum is really the best of the best with folk metal so after that it goes downhill fast, but Crimfall are pretty good.
    July 1 05:24 PM
  • Jom jom.sputnikmusic at googlemail dot com, cheers!
    June 29 11:43 AM
  • Jom I can do all the editing and photo-finding if you run out of time, just let me know. Enjoy the festival!
    June 27 12:40 PM
  • Mad. OK, I'll review it if I get my hands on it and can decipher it all - 18 tracks or something! Thanks for the support!
    June 22 10:16 AM
  • Voivod Hi Magnus, I think that you will enjoy this album, melodic death/black/doom metal from New Zealand - http://lysithea.bandcamp.com/album/the-secret-fate-of-all-life
    June 21 10:59 AM
  • Mad. Yo, Brother Dege is releasing a new 'Mixtape' album, wondering if you were interested in reviewing it?
    June 21 06:31 AM
  • NocteDominum You've been pretty quiet on the review end of things I've noticed too, maybe we both can make a comeback? I've been pretty busy also, a bub on the way means a whole lot of shuffles priorities.
    June 20 07:12 AM
  • NocteDominum Hey dude, how's things?
    June 20 06:11 AM
  • ExplosiveOranges Agreed. Yeah, it'll probably be rocky at first, but a lot of the best reviewers on the site are able to seemlessly review both electronic and death metal albums.
    June 17 08:23 PM
  • ExplosiveOranges True, true. It is good to shed light on less notable releases in the hope that the band will benefit from your review. Honestly, I had a hard time moving out of my comfort zone due to having less knowledge outside of the metal scene, but I hope that by expanding my musical boundaries, I'll be able to also review more stuff and gain a better reputation on the site.
    June 16 09:02 PM
  • ExplosiveOranges The trouble is, most of the more popular albums that I might wanna review are probably already gonna get reviewed to s*** by other users and staff, so I'm stuck reviewing more obscure stuff, which makes it harder to get more attention and recognition.
    June 16 06:07 PM
  • ExplosiveOranges I like to review stuff that hasn't already been reviewed, which makes it somewhat difficult to review things on a regular basis. The fact that I have a bunch of final exams coming up doesn't make things much better, lol.
    June 16 02:25 PM
  • ExplosiveOranges Interesting. I've been on a writer's block lately, so I might try my hand at reviewing some of the electronic stuff you recommended me.
    June 16 06:24 AM
  • ExplosiveOranges Sweet. Random question, but are there any particular new releases that you might be reviewing soon? Just wondering.
    June 16 06:00 AM
  • ExplosiveOranges True. I could never get into stuff like Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson, though.
    June 15 06:43 PM
  • ExplosiveOranges I'll keep them on my radar. I've really been trying to get into newer music genres since I joined the site, since I initially only listened to some hard rock and metal.
    June 15 10:04 AM
  • ExplosiveOranges Finally got a chance to check out a couple of songs off that MiXE1 LP. Pretty neat stuff.
    June 13 07:19 PM
  • greg84 Have you ever heard Therapy? Check out Semi-Detached and High Anxiety first.
    June 6 03:42 PM
  • Crysis Fair enough, at least you gave it a proper shot. I like all of his albums pretty equally.
    May 13 05:24 PM
  • Crysis i'm a filthy casual and have yet to be graced by truly good headphones and an amp so I make do with my speakers and $50 in-ear headphones... that will change soon enough though when I get money to spare
    May 6 08:56 PM
  • Crysis I actually quite like the production, it is a fantastic way to give some contrast to the melody, as the album is extremely melodic for such a raw album.
    May 6 08:19 PM
  • Crysis I had another one before this one and it was much worse. I'm no audiophile so I can't say for sure, but to me it sounds fine, way better than the old 128kbps rip I had.
    May 6 08:11 PM
  • Crysis No problem man, didn't take much time at all. I love Finnish metal so I may hold you to that offer!
    April 29 08:16 PM
  • Crysis Give me a bit and I'll upload mine. Links for that album have been getting DMCA'd left and right (there was one I had on Ghosts of Saturn but it was taken down because of this) so good links are hard to find. When I post the link tell me as soon as you're done downloading so I can remove it.
    April 29 07:36 PM
  • Voivod If you look for "southern" albums, you can check the new Anti-Mortem album, I have posted a stream link at their page.
    April 26 11:55 AM
  • Voivod In general they are considered as heavy rock, whereas they are referenced next to Clutch, among other outfits.
    April 26 11:47 AM
  • Willie I haven't heard back.
    March 30 01:28 PM
  • Willie Thanks. Looks good!
    March 24 09:27 PM
  • Willie I need you to post your interview so that I can give Mx a link for the banner.
    March 24 05:27 PM
  • Nagrarok Haha, actually I did just make my first post in a long while. I'm good, but have simply been too occupied with other things to do much 'sputniking'. Still enjoying life as a staff member? ;)
    March 23 06:21 PM
  • Willie Let's shoot for Monday. If you need art
    March 21 07:15 PM
  • Willie Ok. I'm going to try to get Mx to post an interview banner and see if we can maybe debut another song. It's all posted to the blog and ready to publish?
    March 20 08:56 PM
  • Willie You have til at least next week. Let me coordinate a banner and see if maybe we can stream a song during the interview.
    March 19 06:29 PM
  • Willie Check the Insomnium thread as soon as possible.
    March 18 08:43 PM
  • Crysis I've experienced that as well with some bands, although bands like DT and Insomnium have been longtime favorites and I still love them as much as I used to.
    March 13 06:47 PM
  • Crysis Really glad you liked it! And I agree with what you say. What I meant by that statement is that musical elitists tend to search for these underground bands to try and be different or be that person who name drops them to others. You are one of the least elitist people I know so that may not apply to you haha
    March 13 05:13 PM
  • Hyperion1001 sounds sweet, i have to drive to my parents house today so ill grab it and jam it along the way and tell you what i think. thanks man!
    March 11 12:07 PM
  • Willie Check the promo area for an on your interview request. ASAP, please.
    March 5 09:44 AM
  • NocteDominum http://www.sputnikmusic.com/review/60900/Kauan-Pirut/
    February 9 05:35 PM
  • NocteDominum Found a 320 link, I believe your writers block, about 200 words in and scrambling to voice my opinions how I want to. Having a slight language barrier but I can move past it. : ]
    February 9 03:35 AM
  • NocteDominum I'm only giving it a go because you mentioned 'aoty' It won't have that effect on me (nothing's going to top Ataraxie) but from the first track I can foresee a 3.5-4.2 rating if that makes sense.
    February 7 04:24 PM
  • NocteDominum Give some relevant links my man and I'll push it to the top of the cue
    February 7 04:09 AM
  • NocteDominum What do you have in mind my man?
    February 6 02:59 PM
  • Wizard You might like that Temple album. To me though, it's a bunch of random ideas covered in glue, tossed to the wind and watching where they will stick.
    February 4 07:56 AM
  • Wizard That album sucked the big one. And the reason I call it post-metal is that the bulk of the riffs on the album have a lot of peaks/ valleys and the overall chunky nature of the riffs too. Vocals are awesome too.
    February 3 09:08 PM
  • Wizard Hey buddy, got through Kauan's Pirut once and I enjoyed it. Needs a few more listens but it's definitely a unique take on post-metal.
    February 3 07:15 PM
  • Crysis Haha Finnish DM is amazing, best scene in the world. And if I were you I'd devote more time to Drudkh, they are quite a special band for bm.
    February 1 10:24 AM
  • BloodMusic Thanks a ton for the information! Never knew before about this, thought it was just random, will save the info for the future!
    February 1 06:24 AM
  • Crysis I just wanna listen to something like Drudkh through good headphones and an amp, that's all I want haha
    February 1 12:25 AM
  • Crysis To be honest I've never heard music through truly good headphones, so I have no idea what it sounds like. On my PC I'm listening either through speakers or a Logitech G930 headset which is for gaming, not music. Otherwise I just have s***ty earbuds for portable devices.
    February 1 12:15 AM
  • Crysis Next time I get an extra $300 or $400 I'm buying good headphones and an amp. No questions. I've held off long enough.
    February 1 12:01 AM
  • Crysis man this song rules, the clean guitar in the middle is pure bliss
    January 31 11:11 PM
  • Crysis I hear you man, I'm out of work right now so I can't afford to spend extra even on a CD or LP. I'll check that song out.
    January 31 11:04 PM
  • Crysis blame the crime on poverty haha
    January 31 10:36 PM
  • Crysis http://ghostsofsaturn.blogspot.com/2014/01/woods-of-desolation-as-stars-2014.html
    January 31 10:35 PM
  • DarkNoctus i could give it a shot in the next week, yeah!
    January 31 01:05 PM
  • BloodMusic Hey there! We released Kauan "Pirut" and have no idea how to get a written review on here. How do we go about doing so?
    January 31 07:51 AM
  • Tyrael I'll go through my library but I can't promise anything :P
    January 30 06:12 PM
  • Omaha That's a good way to see it. With this review, I knew I had to have it posted soon so I went ahead and published it- but it's def a good idea to hold back so that better ideas come to you in terms of editing. I like having a good review posted from the get-go!
    January 29 01:07 PM
  • Omaha My writing got the 'pretentious' tag from Magnus? s***, that's when I know I'm writing out of my ass!! Hahaha thanks a ton, bud. There were def some wonky bits in there, but I'm happiest with it now that I've taken your points into consideration and edited things around. Funny how writing can be so counterintuitive after so much practice with it.
    January 29 11:49 AM
  • Wizard I haven't listened to it yet but it's on my list.
    January 23 06:07 PM
  • fromtheinside we all do. but i love looking back at how bad i was
    January 21 03:00 AM
  • fromtheinside you succeeded 4 years ago
    January 21 02:41 AM
  • fromtheinside dude your life sounds identical to mine, which makes your staff position all the more admirable.
    January 21 02:29 AM
  • fromtheinside as you should we need more (new)metal
    January 21 02:18 AM
  • fromtheinside u need to plug with us sometime Mr. Staff.
    January 21 01:52 AM
  • Thanntos I had meant to check out that album last year as well just never got around to it, thanks for reminding me! I love death doom so I won't be surprised if I dig it
    January 20 12:40 PM
  • BigHans Sell Advertising. Print and Internet stuff. We have different markets so on the road alot
    January 17 02:06 PM
  • BigHans Sup Styles. Probably temporary. My job is very busy most of the year, but for the next few weeks it won't be that bad. I am usually out on the road travelling, hence why I can never post.
    January 17 12:31 PM
  • Voivod I had listened to their debut, I liked but I wasn't too excited with it, I didn't know they were releasing a new one this year, thanks again for the heads up. Also, you really seem to have an eye fixed on the Greek extreme metal scene :-)
    January 11 02:47 PM
  • Voivod Thanks for the heads up man, I will further investigate. And yes, Slave Machine are solid, I hope the stream I posted is still active.
    January 11 01:32 PM
  • ResidentNihilist Hey Styles, saw your comment yesterday thank you for that, it means a lot and if you had any hand in getting it featured again thank you dude. Wanted to ask you actually, what do you think of Zoticus?
    January 7 05:25 PM
  • Wizard Been doing great dude. Yourself? ****ing tired of winter but I would imagine you guys would have a tougher winter than us Canadians.
    December 23 05:53 PM
  • LepreCon It was good fun at first, very very hot all year round though! The kids I was teaching were also a hell of a lot more respectful than they are back home! Got really homesick though as I didn't come back except for Christmas and Easter! Was feeling it again until I came home from Japan last week
    December 23 07:51 AM
  • LepreCon Well done! :) I've been away, first in Dubai for a year teaching grade schoolers and now I'm doing a year teaching English in Japan but I'm currently back for Christmas so I thought I'd check in on Sputnik!
    December 20 01:20 PM
  • LepreCon Long time no speak, 'Styles! Congrats on making Staff in my absence! :)
    December 19 06:50 PM
  • NocteDominum Just found a three day weekend to myself, started working on some top secret sput lists : ] and getting back into the music. Look for a melodic dm band: Death Of All Gods (they have something out recently), tell me your thoughts : ]
    December 18 04:16 PM
  • NocteDominum Good ol' Greybeard, how's life been treating you : ] When are you doing your own personal end of year list : ]
    December 18 03:40 PM
  • NocteDominum Sup dude : ]
    December 17 05:47 PM
  • Tyrael Styles! I noticed you have Caladan Brood rated but no Summoning albums yet! Dude?
    December 15 07:00 AM
  • Crysis Yeah I have heard that Caladan Brood album and it ruled. I'll check out that other one. Thanks for the rec!
    November 25 09:50 AM
  • Crysis Honestly I haven't heard any good folk/black this year unless you count Summoning.
    November 24 10:58 PM
  • Omaha alright, comments on your review are up!
    November 21 05:37 PM
  • Omaha Sorry dude, been really busy over here but I'll def leave a comment when I can.
    November 19 08:29 AM
  • Mad. Thanks! I'd like to think that even though I don't write very often, when I do it's good. I'd say the review I'm most proud of is my Pineapple Thief one. There was another review I planned on writing this week but maybe I can man up and do two!
    November 5 05:12 PM
  • Mad. Thanks for the support man but as you can tell I'm not very prolific with the whole review-writing thing, I'll give it a go though!
    November 5 04:54 PM
  • Mad. Hey man, the new Brother Dege record came out today, was wondering if you were gonna review it. That man is so damn talented but has no exposure
    November 5 03:55 PM

  • Voivod Industrial from France, I think you will like it - http://www.terrorizer.com/news/streams/slave-machine-stream-new-album-disconnected-full-terrorizer/
    November 1 11:34 AM
  • Voivod This is the first Tuomas Saukkonen album I'm in contact with, will check Dawn of Solace.
    October 9 08:51 AM
  • Voivod No worries man, there's no rush. You will be ready when you will be ready and that goes for me too. I'm going to inform Trey Spencer too about the album, as I know he liked the Enshine album. As for Wolfheart, they remind me of the last Saturnus album, Saturnus however do not have black metal elements.
    October 9 08:28 AM
  • Voivod I hear you, the album is impressive indeed, for a minute I thought about giving a 4/5 on the spot. I have to post a review for the new Wooden Shjips album in one month and I've posted a review for the new In Solitude album today, so I feel a little exhausted right now, but I'm definitely adding this to the queue.
    October 9 08:13 AM
  • Voivod Since I know you fancy Scandinavian death/doom metal, you will like this - http://www.sputnikmusic.com/news/28905/Wolfheart-stream-debut-album/
    October 9 05:22 AM
  • Willie No, not really. It doesn't seem to the be the year for it.
    October 3 05:53 AM
  • Willie Monster Magnet available.
    October 2 06:49 PM
  • BassDemon333 Pretty good man, have you listened to the Scar The Martyr debut? Its actually not bad at all apart from being a bit too long of an album. The new Korn is easily their best in years too, I was pleasantly suprised by it.
    October 1 11:35 AM
  • Wizard I certainly feel your pain man, life sucks up all my free time as well.
    October 1 07:37 AM
  • Wizard Dude, I was just snooping Crysis profile.....you're not leaving this site! I love you too much to go! I'm married, I have a kid, I own a house, I keep up with my buddies around here. You're one of the only honest ones left! Don't leave me with hipster douchebags!
    September 30 08:43 PM
  • Crysis Don't leave us here, you're one of the few good ones left.
    September 28 12:41 AM
  • Crysis That sucks, I can't imagine having a girlfriend who couldn't at least tolerate some metal haha
    September 27 08:02 PM
  • bloc Bah, with 116 reviews at least you don't have Sputnik to worry about.
    September 27 05:22 PM
  • bloc I definitely hear ya. No cure for it, really...
    September 27 05:14 PM
  • Crysis Looking forward to more Metalstyles reviews!
    September 27 05:05 PM
  • Crysis Yeah I know been a while. Things are going well, I'm between jobs right now so I have more time to write/listen to music which is always good. How's it all going with you?
    September 27 04:44 PM
  • bloc Yeah it's hard to say. These sorts of things somehow naturally resolve themselves, but it's just a matter of time. I am assuming you're not just talking about reviewing on Sputnik?
    September 27 12:11 PM
  • bloc I totally agree. Speaking is easy but writing takes some talent.
    September 26 06:29 PM
  • bloc To incorporate the two would result in one of the most must-read reviews of all time
    September 26 02:03 PM
  • bloc Agreed, better stick to the reviews!
    September 25 08:59 PM
  • bloc Even you typing that just looks awkward haha
    September 25 11:08 AM
  • bloc Haha, I thought you lived in the north?
    September 24 07:53 PM
  • bloc No worries man. I thought it was a bit bland too. That's partly why I thought of you ;)
    September 24 03:38 PM
  • Willie ZEMIAL is up. Sorry for the delay.
    September 17 09:20 PM
  • bloc It's mostly melodic death metal, but has industrial metal type rhythms and synths with lots of great guitar leads.
    September 10 01:54 PM

  • greg84 Lots of things really. Doing a lot of sightseeing. It's quite hectic, but I like it.
    July 30 04:56 PM
  • greg84 Thanks mate. Will check out when I return from italy next week.
    July 30 03:51 PM
  • Ulsufyring Okay now i do know, not really
    July 27 01:34 PM
  • Ulsufyring I.... I don't know...
    July 27 01:28 PM
  • Ulsufyring Well... Atari Teenage Riot is strange. Definitely makes sense where the genre name 'digital hardcore' came from, much more so than in RabbitJunk or The Shizit... it's literally a rawly produced mix of hardcore techno and hardcore guitar riffs and a LOT of punk shouting
    July 27 04:40 AM
  • Ulsufyring No not really, just that it is pretty much awesome. What are other high profile digital hardcore bands? I can't imagine it's a terribly large scene seeing as this is my first learning about it. Also, anything *extremely* to Cyanotic? You're dead on right about that album - in fact I downloaded it after hearing a song by them on Pandora/Songza and knew right away they were awesome
    July 26 02:09 AM
  • Ulsufyring I don't know man, a lot of the riffs, paired with the intense usage of blast beat and double bass comes off as pretty death-y to me. obviously the vox aren't death-y, but still
    July 17 10:18 PM
  • Ulsufyring By the way, concerning the shizit, have you heard their selftitled from 2009? I am kind of curious about the genre tag 'digital hardcore', since a lot of what's on that record is death-metal-y at times, which is pretty awesome, but then i can also hear the industrial elements
    July 17 08:23 PM
  • Ulsufyring The Shizit especially was incredible, anything similar to that?
    July 17 01:30 PM
  • Ulsufyring Thanks for the recs :D They were all awesome, as expected :]
    July 15 04:23 PM
  • Ulsufyring Hey magnus, I am looking for bands like Bile/16Volt/Cyanotic, any suggestions?
    July 11 04:28 AM
  • Voivod The new Thou Art Lord album is excellent, hellenic black metal anno 1993 revisited.
    July 4 02:28 PM
  • Voivod Don't mention it man, if i come up with anything else, I'll let you know.
    July 4 03:24 AM
  • Voivod Also check Aherusia (folk/black metal) http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Aherusia/3540274086
    July 3 01:47 PM
  • Voivod Surprisingly, there aren't many Greek metal bands with folk elements. One that I just remembered is Fiendish Nymph (black metal), which is the sister project to Daemonia Nymphe, which is 100% folk. Other than that, try the two albums by Fragile Vastness (progressive metal). I should check if there's more of them and I'll let you know :-)
    July 3 01:23 PM
  • NocteDominum I think the lead single is on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=St6ZzLMMVe4
    July 2 06:56 PM
  • NocteDominum Hey duder I found some more solid mdm for you, get onto Gooddamn Records and ask for a review copy of Parasite Inc.'s upcoming "Time Tears Down" the guys seemed pretty happy to get the exposure happening
    July 2 02:07 AM
  • Brostep Thanks, I'll give it a look. I've got about 3 or 4 posts I want to write up on my non-Sput blog over the course of the next week or so but if I find time I'll see what I can do
    June 22 09:32 PM
  • NocteDominum pretty sure it's a grower too, I was pleasantly surprised, it was the artwork that made me listen to it

  • NocteDominum Nice, best of luckies with your exams though dude, you'll nail em'. I'm about to make a 2013 black metal list dude so if you get a couple of sec's take a look and tell me which one's you want and I'll throw the links at you
    June 12 06:25 PM
  • NocteDominum like that Whelm album?
    June 8 08:30 PM
  • Willie You can if you want. Sometimes it makes it look more legitimate if you've included our address in the e-mail so that the label knows that you're not just making it all up.
    June 1 09:44 AM
  • bloc And good second point too. I can't deny not saying the same thing to others. Execution of a sound may be the most important thing in music these days.
    May 24 05:19 PM
  • bloc Haha, funny you mention about growers. I've never been too patient for albums claimed to be growers. If I'm not digging it after 2 (3 max) listens, I'll end up discarding the entire thing (or all the songs I don't like). I don't see myself ever changing this method tbh. Although you probably knew all about this already ;)
    May 24 05:16 PM
  • bloc Tbh, I'm finding it hard to find something that is truly fresh this year. We both know there have been some fantastic albums released this year but still...Although, I think this year will be much better than last year in terms of new albums.
    May 23 07:28 PM
  • bloc I agree that Hacride is more than capable of pushing the envelope as opposed to sticking to a typical poly-rhythmic formula that so many bands are doing these days, but the new album just sounds too safe.
    May 23 12:51 PM
  • bloc Glad you are liking Hord. I only heard a bit of it on Youtube but immediately thought you might appreciate it more than I. As for the new Dagoba, I listened to the new track The Great Wonder and I just could not get into the vocals at all. And you know I couldn't get into the new Hacride, but I have a feeling it's because their sound is not as unique as it was a few years ago.
    May 23 12:49 PM
  • NocteDominum i linked you my latest interview man
    May 15 08:33 AM
  • greg84 Thanks. I dig it. It sounds really cool. I've also been really busy lately, and I've got a couple of reviews to write. So, I guess I'll pass on reviewing it for now, but definitely will give this record a whirl when it comes out.
    May 14 11:29 AM
  • Willie Edit the first comment of your review to link to the album stream.
    May 11 07:02 PM
  • Willie Upload them one by one. I'll tell you how in the staff forum.
    May 9 01:43 PM
  • Willie Saturday through Saturday.
    May 9 10:03 AM
  • Willie Hello Trey, First of all thank you for the review. It's much appreciated. Yes you can stream the album closer to the release date. If you can just let me know when you stream it so we can help advertise it at our web pages. Cheers! James
    May 9 08:49 AM
  • Voivod All of them actually, but check Acrimonious and Acherontas first.
    May 7 07:41 AM
  • Voivod As of late, there is a raid of really good black metal albums from Greece. If you have time, check the last albums from Acrimonious (their debut also rocks), Acherontas, Aherousia and Enshadowed.
    May 7 07:29 AM
  • Voivod I hear you, the album is indeed awesome and a most unexpected surprise overall. Most unfortunately, though, my free time is constantly decreasing due to real life issues that will keep me chained at least until the end of the year. I have the Purson promo to finish, then some reeeaaallly long overdue requests and then we will see.
    May 7 07:27 AM
  • Willie I'll look into it.
    May 6 04:28 PM
  • slipnslide hey metalstyles http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcJWjKFZTLM
    May 2 01:36 AM
  • greg84 Hmm. I guess you need to upload a picture that has a proper size. 600x400 seems to be ideal.
    April 27 10:15 AM
  • greg84 Perhaps with such a long interview as your latest one, it'd be better to upload an audio track and only cite the most important extracts. Just a thought.
    April 27 08:04 AM
  • bloc I hear you. As for Hacride, their new new vocalist is weak compared to the previous one. I doubt much will change over time but we'll see.
    April 24 07:16 PM
  • bloc No problem, but a 320 kbps snob, eh? ;) As for your rating of 4, I'll never understand it!
    April 24 06:01 PM
  • bloc Haha have you listened to it yet? Personally, I was really disappointed. It's pretty generic sounding.
    April 23 04:51 PM
  • BassDemon333 Sounds good man haha
    April 23 04:23 PM
  • BassDemon333 I think you'll like the new Zombie record. It doesn't have AS much lasting value as his first two solo records but its a hell of a lot better than his last two, which I know you and I both were very disappointed with lol.
    April 23 11:40 AM
  • Tyrael Damn you got staffed **** yeah more metal on staff emslash
    April 22 04:26 PM
  • bloc http://echoesofdemise-v3.blogspot.ca/2013/04/hord-book-of-eliot-2013-industrial.html
    April 21 12:25 PM
  • bloc Check out Hord - The Book Of Eliot. It's a mix of groove and industrial and death metal.
    April 21 12:25 PM
  • Crysis You should have the option to add a picture title or a caption or something when you add it in wordpress
    April 18 08:58 AM
  • Voivod Yeah, I've listened to it, the new material breathes better than that of "n0n" imo.
    April 14 08:19 AM
  • Voivod Hi Magnus I've found a stream for the new The Amenta record - http://www.terrorizer.com/2013/03/20/the-amenta-flesh-is-heir-review/. If you want, place the link on your first comment in the review.
    April 14 01:25 AM

    April 10 06:47 PM

  • Maniac! Woah you finally made staff. congrats
    April 4 01:20 AM
  • NocteDominum Teach me to staff : )
    March 29 09:42 AM
  • Crysis Always had a dislike for them. I've heard 3 or 4 of their records and thought they ranged from painfully mediocre to just plain bad. Not my style of melodic death.
    March 26 07:32 PM
  • FALLENSTARZERO I'm a producer/composer of dark ambient metal music and have about fourteen or fifteen albums currently but I'm in a constant state of creating something very unusual. • pizzamachine yeah I'm working on a review now. I always enjoy reading your reviews
    March 20 06:55 PM
  • AtomicWaste Yeah, man, it's always good to spend time with the gf, but sometimes you've just got to venture out and do stuff on your own/with your own set of friends. It's what keeps relationships healthy in a lot of cases.
    March 20 01:08 PM
  • pizzamachine That's pretty much it. :/ Just playing a lot of video games for now lol
    March 20 12:56 PM
  • pizzamachine If I can I'll find a job as a Teacher's Assistant, and if I can't I'll just keep looking for any job that pays.
    March 20 12:21 PM
  • AtomicWaste I hear ya, man. Just make sure you find some little ways to de-stress and look for a good window between your studies to do something fun. It can help to know how much time you need and what you're going to do, so you should be able to sneak some research in between stuff. But balancing life that way is ALWAYS a pain.
    March 20 12:18 PM
  • pizzamachine was just a kitchen job at camp, nothing special
    March 20 12:14 PM
  • AtomicWaste You can always just buy a keg or two, too haha. Sometimes that's the craziest sort of week.
    March 20 12:09 PM
  • AtomicWaste Look around online or drive around and see if there's any weird s*** anywhere within a decent distance. Not too long ago, some friends and I traveled to some abandoned tunnels and hiked through 'em and had our own brought lunches and stuff. There's lots of weird stuff like that all over the place that can be fun to go to.
    March 20 12:08 PM
  • pizzamachine I've been trying to get a job, and man it's hard. I had s***ty internet for a while so that's why I haven't been around here much.
    March 20 12:07 PM
  • pizzamachine Sup?
    March 20 11:42 AM
  • AtomicWaste Just the normal work, games, and writing. Had a good group over last weekend for St. Patty's and I've been out and about with both friends from home and from college, so I really can't complain. Last two weekends have actually been some of the best in a long while. How's everything by you?
    March 20 11:30 AM
  • NocteDominum Cheers, Ill find it in the morning, (currently 10pm here)
    March 20 06:41 AM
  • NocteDominum You know i like hands on, and this is something i can do without upsetting the higher powers, do you delegate?
