  • Deviant. Maybe; or, this is where those old unreleased tunes Burial was talking about are going to be released on. That retrospective tip
    March 31 04:08 AM
  • Deviant. Nah, not yet. Speaking of Hyperdub though: http://www.factmag.com/2014/03/27/hyperdub-announces-four-10th-anniversary-compilations/
    March 28 05:37 AM
  • Deviant. Think 'Untouchable' might be my new favourite joing from Outer Limits. That thing is intricate as **** for a Distance tune
    March 25 02:33 AM
  • Jash Yeah mate it's such a smooth record, will peep your review
    March 18 06:09 PM
  • Rev for sure
    March 17 03:14 PM
  • avonbarksdale221 So its a surrealistic murder mystery set in a slightly backwards small town? I can get right around that. I have heard that it tapers off massively in its second season though, any truth to that?
    March 17 01:04 AM
  • Deviant. I think he's just been spending too much time with Chestplate and less on producing. Hopefully he can get his A game back and drop another LP, but if he does it'll probably end up featuring half of his recent material
    March 15 04:54 AM
  • avonbarksdale221 Made my body pump adrenaline like Breaking Bad. I swear, it was as addictive as the blue meth Walt cooks. Been meaning to watch Hannibal, just need to get through the X Files first. I'll watch Twin Peaks after that, but I will say this; I saw Mulholland Drive (albeit years ago) and dismissed at as an intentionally vague pretentious piece of drivel masquerading as a classic. I'd love you to prove me wrong though :]
    March 14 08:23 PM
  • avonbarksdale221 Exactly man, I watch The Wire and Breaking Bad for different reasons, and I can totally understand how someone would prefer one or the other. The Wire is first and foremost a drama, but a major aspect of the show was as a medium for David Simon to air his social critiques and commentaries. Comparing a show about urban decay and institutional corruption and with a series about a high school teacher-turned meth kingpin is pointless. I will say this though; up until True Detective, no show has...
    March 14 08:19 PM
  • avonbarksdale221 Still haven't seen Twin Peaks - need to rectify that. Aside from that, I've seen most of the big names, The Wire, Sopranos, BrBa, Deadwood, Dexter, Boardwalk, Mad Men etc. The Wire still stands head and shoulders above the rest for me though, the levels of depth and realism it has are unparalleled. And agreed that TD has more in common with film: my instant comparison was with Seven.
    March 14 05:24 AM
  • avonbarksdale221 Cheers for your contribution in the thread dude, nice to get some quality discussion on this place past "x is greater than y" for once. And agreed, as great as Woody was as Marty, Rust was such an intriguing, dynamic character and I really felt that MM absolutely knocked it out of the park. Although not without its flaws, it still stands as an excellent series of television and particualrly one of (if not the) best first season of a show that I've seen. What are some other series you dig man?
    March 14 04:38 AM
  • clercqie I skimmed over it and liked what I saw, but I'm kinda occupied atm so I'll give I a more attentive read (and listen) later this week. :] My favs so far are mostly non-electronic: The Men, Marissa Nadler, War On Drugs, Actress and Shackleton. New Real Estate should be good as well.
    February 24 05:55 PM
  • Sleaper did u ever give merveiile and crossons DRM a listen? dunno if u mix anything, but theres some really reaaaaally nice beats and samples you can use. the whole albums just smooth minimal housey stuff.
    February 24 05:26 AM
  • Jom I don't disagree with you, but only one person can actually do any of the fixing.
    February 23 11:25 PM
  • Futures Yeah man I had a blast! Awesome dudes in there. You probably have me beat by a fair bit in terms of musical knowledge haha! But I see you like emo ever jam Mineral?
    February 13 06:36 PM

    February 12 10:58 AM
  • Typhoner congrats on the promotion!
    February 12 10:49 AM
  • Brostep It was an amazing concert. I unfortunately had to leave like halfway through because they went on half an hour late and the subway stops running at 12:30 AM in Boston but the 45 minutes I was there was sweet. I dunno, there's just something so visceral about their live set, it's so cool.
    February 12 06:55 AM
  • LordPots will check it out for u. im sure ive heard something by him before but i cant for the life of me remember what
    February 12 12:36 AM
  • GnarlyShillelagh thanks my brudda, grats to you for contrib! i've found a couple really cool artists from reviews you've written in the past, dope taste
    February 11 03:56 PM
  • Brostep thanks! you're gonna make an awesome contrib if you write the requisite once per month haha
    February 11 02:32 PM
  • Omaha congrats dood, you and Clerq better keep reviewing all the good electronic and make me proud
    February 11 01:07 PM
  • clercqie Massive congrats on the promotion man! Let's give RA a run for their money. ;]
    February 11 11:48 AM
  • Crysis Congrats on the promotion!
    February 11 10:26 AM
  • clercqie Haha, my numbers weren't all that either. I'm rooting though. Nice review for the Bohren record. I still have to listen to it (have been quite slow in following the latest releases, recently), but no doubt it should be great.
    February 2 11:25 AM
  • Keyblade s*** they have a new one? Sweeeet, will check out your rev man. Been kinda behind on muzak lately
    February 2 06:01 AM
  • clercqie Thanks man. :] Why didn't you apply? Yep, they definitely are. So glad I got to see them last year. I'd really still like to see Jaar solo as well. Eagerly awaiting his next album.
    February 1 07:28 AM

    December 17 04:07 PM
  • Jash yeah mate i managed to snag a copy thank god
    December 17 02:03 AM
  • Deviant. Yeah, I'm tentatively writing one at the moment
    December 16 02:48 AM
  • Typhoner Haha, happens to me too. That job sounds prety nice, actually, congrats! Well, my work would include quite a lot of programming, so it comes a bit closer to your field ;) Bu yes, it's really interesting. I'll stay in academics for a few years, and then we'll see what's possible I guess. It'll depend on the opportunities at that moment and of course how my own interest have developed.
    December 15 10:20 AM
  • Typhoner Ishome has a review ;-). And at least no one seems to care about Lunik here :). But I think you'll dig them (or at least one of them). My exams only start in januari, but I'm really growing tired of "studying just for studying". Luckily I'll start working on my thesis in februari and do some proper research. What are you studying?
    December 15 08:23 AM
  • Typhoner haha, I could say the same thing, so what's up? :) Sure, I'm fine, wasting time I should spend on exams and papers on hanging around here and writing reviews no one cares about. ;) On the garage market I'd rec you Ishome, Vuurwerk and E.m.m.a. in case you haven't checked those out yet.
    December 15 08:05 AM
  • clercqie Nice! Should be good. Only "downside" was that they didn't play any of their Daft Punk remixes, which is nitpicking of course.
    December 14 02:14 PM
  • clercqie They played the debut, but really transformed the album versions of the tracks into something else entirely at times. Very soundscapy though. Overall great concert, glad I got to see them.
    December 14 05:02 AM
  • Deviant. Oh man, give me a day or two when I officially can afford some time to come back here

    December 11 11:55 PM
  • clercqie Other ones, I meant. Yeah, the Kaiju one is an instant classic for me, but the second Killawat/Ipman one is very very good as well.
    December 10 04:45 AM
  • clercqie It's pretty good. I'm more for the other one though, predictably. :]
    December 10 03:29 AM
  • Rev Yo dude how's it going?

  • Deviant. Yeah, I was talking about in some thread. Oh wait, it was for the new Booka Shade release! But yeah, suitably impressed. Not as subtle of a change as I was expecting, but still a nice gold standard for someone who has been stuck making funky for far too long

    October 11 06:21 PM
  • sniper nah i only have sigure virgin, i'll get it. not sure how much you like emoviolence but capacities have a cool thing out this year. idk.
    October 10 01:47 AM
  • sniper yeah dude, when megaupload and mediafire went down the blogspot culture was badly crippled and i never got back on the bandwagon, but same here, if i hear of anything cool.
    October 10 01:42 AM
  • sniper what happened is slightlyepic left, and hanson, mappy, and eric stopped coming around as much. bungy too, man i miss bungy on here.
    October 10 12:36 AM
  • sniper actually dude, i am also way behind on music this year, and even last year i didn't hear that much stuff. :/ the blogs i used to frequent are all kaput now and idk.
    October 8 10:52 AM

    October 4 03:32 AM
  • Deviant. 'Too Much' has that head-bangin dungeon groove on lock
    October 1 11:59 PM
  • Deviant. Yeah I downloaded it a couple of days back. I've actually just put it on my iPod so I'll get back to you about the release, but he's always been pretty solid and consistent with his quality so it should be pretty good. One of the better artists from the Black Box/Box Clever roster
    October 1 10:34 PM
  • Rev yeah i have a few sets i got off archive. great stuff
    September 21 12:25 AM
  • Rev ignore me i'm dumb that was definitely storm
    September 20 11:30 PM
  • Rev OH that was Behemoth! I was like this sounds like Allelujah but I don't recognize it lol. And wait they played Moya though. But it would have been cool if they did BBF3 as an encore
    September 20 11:26 PM
  • Rev no worries man! the show was incredible, although I would have preferred a bit less Allelujah, a little more Skinny Fists lol
    September 20 09:46 PM
  • twlichty thanks so much for the review man! it totally made my week haha! really glad you enjoy the mix of live guitar with the dancey beats, it's definitely something i'm going to try to improve upon with upcoming releaes
    September 15 12:48 AM
  • clercqie They just seemed to slowed it a bit down in comparison with the radio rip that's been floating around the web. I still think it's a massive tune, especially when mixed properly.
    September 13 09:55 AM
  • clercqie Getting it as we speak. :] Oh, and just play them loud. Rudebwoi could have easily been on one of the classic DMZ releases, if it were made by Mala I think. So glad I got hold of a copy. The prices for Lionch002 on discogs are nuts.
    September 13 09:47 AM
  • clercqie http://nodata.tv/86918 Huuuuuuuge release!

  • clercqie Yeah I know. I really want 2 Much Chat, but the flip is rubbish. And I don't really want to spend 10 euros on one tune. :-/
    August 24 04:33 AM
  • clercqie DMZ030 forthcoming: 2 Much Chat / Coral Reef. Siked for the Mala tune!

  • Brostep Finally writing up that Walton review, would you mind taking a look at it before I put it up?
    August 21 02:48 AM
  • clercqie Hey man, I was away for the weekend so couldn't respond earlier. Just read it, very nice work!
    August 19 06:56 AM
  • Brostep Sweet, just friended you. I'll def give the review a look
    August 16 08:01 PM
  • Brostep I'm taking a month-long break from Sput commenting, so I won't be able to give you any feedback on Sputnik itself. If you want to give me an email/FB address then I could give you some feedback
    August 15 05:26 PM
  • clercqie Haha yeah, I'm a real sucker for those tribal drums. Bassline is wicked as well. Thanks man!

  • Brostep I've been on a massive writer's block recently, but it's entirely possible. If I do, would you mind giving it a once-over so that I know I haven't said anything flagrantly incorrect?
    July 21 12:47 PM
  • Brostep It may still grow on me, though, since I've only listened to it twice or three times so far. Parts of the album are absolutely genius though (this is the Walton I'm talking about, only about three tracks into Zomby so far)
    July 21 11:07 AM
  • Brostep I reeeeally want to give it a 4.5 but I don't think it's quite that good, it's sitting at like a 4.1 for me right now
    July 21 10:59 AM
  • Jacquibim It'll be alright, I've already pestered them enough. I know users like Potsy, Kris and even Lloyd at one point got massive avatars so I'm fairly sure the mods can change the limits.
    July 21 07:19 AM
  • Jacquibim Well it worked! Thanks for the help man, really. I just find it kind of odd because I saved my Pingu avatar out of curiosity and it was 74kb, but Willie did upload it for me so I dunno, maybe he can alter the limit for users if he wants.
    July 21 07:07 AM
  • Jacquibim Oh no it's fine, I guess I'm just being picky about quality lol. So I should be fine to upload the one you gave me? I don't need a mod to do it?
    July 21 06:51 AM
  • Jacquibim Well I could send you the actual files I used to make it, and would you be able to draw out the single non-blinking frame so it uses less space? I think I have an idea on how to do that so I'll report back if it doesn't work.
    July 21 06:35 AM
  • Jacquibim Yeah cheers man, I just resized the original files I used to make the gif and tried again. Obviously the quality is a tad better but it's over 100kb, I suppose that's no good?
    July 21 06:20 AM
  • Jacquibim Oh okay, it's just that Willie has resized gifs for me before, I assumed all the mods could do it. But yeah, resize it if you would mind, I'd appreciate it.
    July 21 06:05 AM
  • Brostep Have you heard the new Walton album yet? IMO the best garage album of the year so far, and it's on Hyperdub so of course it's going to be at least all right. The tracks apparently haven't been uploaded to YouTube yet so I can't link you but if/when you download it check out: Need To Feel, Grit, Every Night. BTW: dl'ing the Zomby album atm, will listen very soon
    July 20 11:33 PM
  • Deviant. No space between - and 1 (that might have been my fault!). I'll read it in a bit
    July 19 05:11 AM
  • Deviant. Nothing yet
    July 19 04:50 AM
  • Deviant. What's up?
    July 19 02:46 AM
  • demigod! oh damn how could i forget about him lol. Yeah, he really get a lot of time to shine in this. I like it because he hasn't been completely typecasted as Buster but you can still see how that character developed his style of acting/comedy. His character (Gary) is still awkward but in a way that would seem natural in real life for someone in his position, which is kinda like Buster only less "cartoonish" if you get what i'm saying.
    July 17 12:36 AM
  • demigod! preachin to the choir man hahaha she's like my favourite women in show business. just puts everything into whatever she does and is so damn hilarious and real in the process. glad to see another on the Veep train :Dthe rest of the cast is brilliant too though, once you learn all the characters and understand their relationships with each other the show gets really magical. Dan, Mike and Jonah are particularly hilarious.
    July 16 11:43 PM
  • demigod! ah sweet man. it definitely gets better, first season started off a little shakey but gets great about halfway through
    July 16 11:29 PM
  • demigod! Yeah that was me. glad you liked it, which episodes did you see? it can be hit or miss if you watch them randomly, much better to watch them in order but i guess that's kind of a given.
    July 16 11:17 PM
  • Hyperion1001 i was considering reviewing the new u-ziq but i also need inspiration so if you wanna go for it go for it.
    July 13 01:57 PM
  • pribosse yo t-mobile check this out bro http://necrodogg.bandcamp.com/album/spontaneous-combustion
    July 12 10:00 PM
  • Gwyn. Hahh, yeah I've been wanting to use it, I may have to go the shoutbox of one of the mods but I don't know, but thanks man, I actually use gif avys all the time by making them lose quality with photoshop but I didn't want to do it for this one, but I suppose I probably have no other choice. thanks again
    July 11 04:11 AM
  • kingsoby1 yea potato potahto!
    July 7 10:30 AM
  • kingsoby1 good to hear man, of course i'm an el-p fanboy, so always happy to spread the kool-aid. yeah, rap and hiphop are used pretty interchangeably in the US actually.
    July 6 11:59 PM
  • chesse13 i'll probably listen to the rest of their discog when i'm done with most of Zao's then. But kidcrash's transitions from heavy to clean is seamless. i love it so much
    July 6 01:40 PM
  • chesse13 i just listened and it was really ****ing good. i've been meaning to listen to them for a while too. i was pretty blown away by it
    July 3 06:24 PM
  • Rev a couple people offered but no one's posted one yet. Jacob's been meaning to do one but he's been swamped, Hernan offered if no one else wrote one, I think a few non staff people expressed interest in writing one but we'll have to wait and see if they deliver, and I asked Dev if he would mind writing one because i'm incredibly curious about his thoughts on it (a 4.3 from Dev I wouldn't have ever imagined hahaha). If you feel like doing one anyway though I'd absolutely love to hear your feelings
    July 1 09:55 PM
  • Rev Legion of Boom and Divided by Night both have some pretty sweet tracks
    June 26 11:36 PM
  • Rev that's really sick! the playground is a pretty chill little bar downtown that's pretty nice compared to most of the bars down there. i wonder if they're playing on the roof, that would be sick
    June 26 11:20 PM
  • Rev oh wow i'd love to see that, where are they playing?
    June 26 11:11 PM
  • Rev yeah but i'm actually playing a house show with my band lol
    June 26 11:11 PM
  • Rev nooooooooo i leave tomorrow and i have a show that night
    June 26 10:43 PM
  • Rev no worries dude, im up here visiting my girlfriend's family so i'm pretty much stuck with her haha
    June 26 10:07 PM
  • Rev and awesome dude! thanks for checking it out, I'm glad you like it!
    June 25 01:37 PM
  • Rev yeah pretty much same here. i only gave QOTSA one listen when i was kind of tired and drunk so it didn't do much for me but I really have to give it a real shot before I pass any real judgement on it. and oh s***, I had no idea there Rustie had some new s***, def gonna check that out. I've been digging a few other cool things that I'm too tired to recall atm, but I think I'll make a 2013 list when I get home from Phoenix later this week (oh yeah I'm totally in Phoenix right now haha :p).
    June 25 01:36 PM
  • Rev Yo I scoped your anime convo with gwyn and just wanted to say if you ever need recs hit me up. also what have you been digging lately?
    June 25 01:12 AM
  • Gwyn. haha no problem dude, there are some twists and turns too, so stick around.
    June 23 03:42 PM
  • Brostep Aaaaaaand Fantano gives Zomby a 5/10. Thoughts?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6HlyfasxKE
    June 23 09:34 AM
  • Gwyn. Ghibli's stuff is very visual, if you know what i mean - very dependent on visual exposition and narrative, there's not a lot of dialogue in their movies compared to what you'd find elsewhere, there isn't a lot of stuff that is REALLY like ghibli's. a lot of anime, including aot, is a lot darker visually too, while ghibli's stuff tends to have this sort of... innocence, i guess you could say? in its visuals. but like i said theres plenty of stuff that could fit the bill if aot doesnt cut it
    June 23 06:02 AM
  • Gwyn. well it really depends on the sort of thing you look for. anime is like movies or games, theres tons of stuff, it's not a genre is literally a medium, so there is more than likely something that will appeal to you a lot somewhere in there. attack on titan has action and psychological aspects, so if that's the kind of thing you like, check it.
    June 23 05:42 AM
  • Gwyn. never actually played ff iv so never thought of that, i see the similarities tho lol. if you like anime in anyway i'd suggest you watch the show if you got time, i'd suggest anyone to watch it so sorry if its random haha.
    June 23 05:34 AM
  • Gwyn. Attack on Titan/Shingeki No Kyojin poster, well a part of it lol
    June 23 05:28 AM
  • BigPleb No problems dude, horror is kinda like my forte' haha.
    June 21 07:36 AM
  • BigPleb Okay: Martyrs, The Last House on the Left, Ringu, Rec, Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, Re-Animator, Lets Scare Jessica to Death, Eraserhead, Wolf Creek, The Devils Backbone, Suspiria, Tenebre. That should do for now haha :]
    June 21 07:28 AM
  • BigPleb I could give you a s*** load of recs man haha, what kind of horror you looking for?
    June 21 06:54 AM
  • BigPleb I dug Blair Witch, never really wow'ed me though.
    June 21 06:36 AM
  • BigPleb The acting as well dude, just makes its so realistic. Fave horror movie ever most probably :]
    June 21 04:50 AM
  • BigPleb Oh man I'm glad you enjoyed it! It get under your skin, I just think its such a disturbing experience every time. So bleak and there's no gore, who needs gore to be creepy?
    June 21 04:40 AM
  • Keyblade Just jammed man, i'm overwhelmed...don't know what to think. It's definitely sweet, but there's so much going on I need to jam it many more times to get familiar.
    June 18 05:28 AM
  • Keyblade aight man, it's had me intrigued but this is the final push.
    June 18 02:17 AM
  • Brostep Thanks for the rec, I'll definitely check it out. I've heard good things about Zomby but I've never really gotten around to listening, so this'll be a good opportunity for me
    June 15 09:25 AM
  • oltnabrick ahhh nice. good to hear you like it
    June 8 03:00 AM
  • oltnabrick did you ever check Darkspace?
    June 8 02:57 AM
  • Brostep I know what you mean, it's so disappointing to see a producer with as much skill as SP:MC just waste it on stereotypical "dungeon vibes." It's one of the reasons I'm so pumped about the new Swindle LP - got an advance stream of it, and it's really really good (top 10/15 of the year for sure). It just feels so damn organic, and it's not stereotypical junk.

  • Jash you got the new Uprise Audio EP yet? big big release
    May 22 02:41 AM
  • Omaha Haha thank you! I liked the Jennifer lawrence one too, but Lost will always hold a special place in my heart.
    May 20 01:44 AM
  • Keyblade sweet. good luck man
    May 19 01:34 AM
  • Keyblade I'd also highly recommend Vinterland if you haven't come across them already. Welcome My Last Chapter is probably my favorite bm album along with Ulver's Bergtatt.
    May 19 01:27 AM
  • Keyblade Well apart from the fact that I'm a huge fanboy, I'd prolly rec Summoning. You wanted synth lines? Pretty much every song is driven by synth. Maybe start with Minas Morgul? It's prolly their most bm (apart from Lugburz which is straight up bum but different from their other albums).
    May 19 01:25 AM
  • fish. got it, thanks
    May 6 10:36 AM
  • Keyblade no but i've come across them and wasn't too interested from what i remember. gonna give em another shot now though, so thanks man.
    May 6 03:02 AM
  • zxlkho it's like the least clever thing ever, so thanks i guess
    May 5 11:01 PM
  • fish. If that makes sense
    May 5 10:06 PM
  • fish. From a quick YouTube search, sounds really interesting. I'll definitely get on some full albums tomorrow, thanks. I'm not thinking desolate-esque specifically, just things which evoke that haunting atmosphere but have some substance to them. Dark ambient, downtempo, idm, whatever. I rarely accurately predict what I end up actually liking so I don't want to narrow the field that much
    May 5 10:06 PM
  • sniper def sounds cooler than their older stuff from what i remember
    March 19 01:01 AM
  • sniper i'll get it, thanks for the heads up
    March 18 02:21 PM
  • DamnVanne missing you at plug.dj :( cum on bby
    March 16 06:39 AM
  • clercqie I ordered it at my local record store, so hopefully they got a hold of some copies... Oh, and you might wanna grab this as well: http://nodata.tv/74563

  • Iluvatar sexy get high 420
    February 26 06:56 PM
  • clercqie Yeah, I already have the Tobin ones on CD, so that's kind of a bummer haha. Still, they have some seriously awesome records for grabs. Hopefully, they'll get plenty of support. The LPs are pretty cheap as well at 12 pounds each on average. They're adding new albums to the catalogue weekly or so.
    February 26 01:25 PM
  • cinaedus she's told me she thinks i'm attractive and that she cares about me, but she doesn't want to jump into a relationship just yet. so i do have an opportunity to get out, and i probably should, but at this point i'm just waiting to see what happens
    February 24 01:57 PM
  • clercqie Hey TMob! Heard about the Beat project yet?
    February 24 01:06 PM
  • clercqie Yeah but most garage producers could be considered Burial rip-offs one way or another these days, so that's like a non-argument now. I'm listening now, and it's def a chill listen. Still waiting for new Kilimanjaro stuff (on the same label), those guys are really something else!
    February 15 05:19 AM
  • clercqie http://store.darkclover.ro/album/unlit Label has some the most interesting future garage stuff.
    February 15 04:39 AM
  • silentpotato recording a new album as we speak!! have a collab electronic project with my buddy up and running too. two songs done for that, and ive got almost 3 new sudatsuga songs done so the new album will be done in a couple months i think
    January 30 08:48 PM
  • silentpotato the day i meet someone who doesnt say dumb s*** at some point when they are drunk...
    January 30 08:18 PM
  • silentpotato lol dude........ no harm done its just a sputnik conversation that s*** will never shape my opinion of u
    January 30 06:20 PM
  • Jash Thanks man, glad you dig it. I'm gonna be doing an hour long mix soon with plenty of new bits by myself in there so you'll be hearing more new tracks soon
    January 26 12:37 PM
  • StrizzMatik Yeah I'm lurking here and there. I kinda can't stand most of the people on here anymore lol, too many elitist 16-year-old hipsters with a bad case of Unwarranted Self-Importance
    January 25 11:37 AM
  • Deviant. I don't mind it, but I agree with what you're saying. 'What's In Your Head' was a big deal, so it's not surprising that they'd consider along the more anthemic side of funky
    January 23 03:50 AM
  • Jash If you add me on Facebook I'll send you some dubs I've got so you have more iNTRiKeT for your ears, Josh Frazer is mah name
    January 23 01:15 AM
  • Jash Honestly don't even listen to the EP hahaha I kinda wish I'd waited and not put those tunes out but live and learn right? Actually, if you listen to the EP then the album you can see how far I've come between releases (a really long ****ing way hahaha)
    January 23 01:01 AM
  • Jash Did you get a chance to grab the mastered and lil bit different version of "The Woods"? Whoever the label got it mastered by did a sick job I'm really happy about it
    January 22 11:32 PM
  • Iluvatar nigga why you acting like we ain't dawgs and s***?
    January 10 01:12 AM
  • Jash It always makes me think of this one Youngsta Rinse show and V.I.V.E.K was on the horn like every tune and some people listening to the stream were getting so mad, now whenever he comes on Toast makes some sort of siren comment it's hilarious
    January 9 03:06 PM
  • clercqie Well, it didn't last long it seems. I preordered mine already! And I still have to get the 4th one as well, but it's mad expensive around here...
    January 9 03:02 PM
  • clercqie Haha, same here. But judging from that preview, that may be the best Sheworks release yet!
    January 9 01:58 PM

    January 7 10:57 PM
  • sehguh sorry for the late reply, no idea for albums, try wileys tunnel vision mixtapes, the 2nd dizzee album, lord of the mics compilation, spooky best of grime 2011
    January 3 06:45 AM
  • bloc Hey this is not bad, thanks for the suggestion. Although I'd say too many vocal parts kind of ruin the great music.
    December 27 01:16 PM
  • Jash Yeah man so good, I really hope it gets a release in the new year. Going to try and get tickets to the Deep Medi boat party when I go to Outlook in the summer
    December 27 07:13 AM
  • Jash http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=boFR5yhG5ic You heard this yet?
    December 26 03:17 PM
  • clercqie Nice DMZ vibe on that track, ye I dig :]
    December 26 06:04 AM
  • Jash Yeah man so good! Have you heard his newish track floating around called "Haze"? Big big tune. Also, I know you love Mala's "Miracles" so you need to check out Commodo's remix of it, oh my god. While you're at it also find a rip of his new track Hyperreal, he's got some serious tracks up his sleeve right now
    December 25 03:22 PM
  • Sublime92 I'm playing I love u
    December 4 02:48 AM
  • Insurrection Alright man thanks i really appreciate it. well since we've already established that a number of songs on 'the woods' are dubstep, is there any form of dubstep that is, say, heavier than that (as in much less ambient influence) but still very atmospheric, or at least partly so? maybe even some progressive elements? if so id love to hear some of it.
    November 28 04:36 AM
  • Deviant. Pod Bay Doors was a release he put together for Ninja Tune, hence the sound it kind of carried. If you heard Space Traitor Vol. 2, this album is essentially the sort of realization of that sound
    November 28 01:18 AM
  • Deviant. I can def see why people aren't going to like it (and I'm obviously not the biggest fan myself) but I knew what was coming, especially after Starkey was running around calling the album a cosmic opera and s***
    November 28 12:59 AM
  • Deviant. I literally just rated it as well. I dig it, reminds me a lot of Rustie's stuff. It's kind of an oddity because it's so intentionally over the top, but as a piece of bombastic entertainment I think it's pretty solid

  • Jash http://www.freakenergy.ru/150698-biome-on-the-edge-19.html
    November 17 05:29 AM
  • Jash Yeah man both tracks are unreal. Don't know if you're into Biome at all, but his new EP (On The Edge 19) is absolutely insane, probably the biggest 140 release of the year IMO, I just ordered that one on wax. You should check it out, lemme know if you can't find a link

  • Ethics If you enjoyed BT's other stuff, you'll definitely love it. Glad to see more people checking them out here. Peace, man.
    October 22 05:56 AM
  • Ethics Yeahhhhhh, Zomby, Burial, Mala, Trophy Scars, Gospel... I have like half of your 5s as mine haha. Thanks for backing me up in the Choirs thread, I appreciate it. Definitely refreshing to see something like that go down so smoothly. Nice to meet you as well! Check out DjRum's Mountains and BT's Ima if you haven't already.. really good stuff I think you'll enjoy.
    October 22 05:16 AM
  • Brostep Gah, not everything I like is brostep haha. Im talking about the "medium rare" stuff that Bassclash and Subway release, like the Whopper EP that came out last week. Would you actually call it brostep? I don't think it is but I might be totally wrong.
    October 16 06:55 AM
  • silentpotato i love you, listening now.
    October 16 04:08 AM
  • Brostep Hey, just wondering: what do you think about Megalodon/Vodex/Requake/Badklaat/the Bassclash crew in general?
